Well doen on the FAFFSand yeah the house was quite nice!
OK carp - lots of calories thats true - think on though......I dunno about you..........................
But when I was drinking never mind the 600+ calories per bottle of wine, there was the crisps, the snacking throughout the evening (fishfinger sandwiches, bacon sarnies, chips, or a chinese, or ten tonne of toast etc) and then the extra wine I'd drink and then the extra food I wanted the next morning - something cooked like an egg butty or a sausage butty - full fat fizzy juice etc
I think a bit of carp instead of wine is very very fine now!

I'm trying to catch up with you all - it's like painting the Forth Bridge; as soon as you finish you have to start all over again. Not even had time to lurk'n'read lately.
(btw - they have a new sort of paint - apparently - which means they don't have to endlessly paint said bridge. QI!?)
P.S. missed me?:D:D

Have had to put them away now - it is definitley true you can have too much of a good thing! Bleurgh - eaten too many different flavours together!!
You're right about the wine/snacking though - mmm - although I do quite fancy a bacon sarnie now you mention it.....

Yep all good here. Honestly cannot descibe how 'good' i feel. Mentally I mean. I am so glad I stopped drinking!
Just sat down after a mini de cluttering burst. Quick hot choc i think coming my way. my mum is stayinga t the moment-we've always had a pretty voilatile relationship...but this is the first time she's stayed since I stopped drinking and we are getting on so much better....
If anyone reading this has tried cutting down and 'failed' please think about just going for it and giving it up. Your life doesnt come to a grinding halt in fact it's like the brakes have been taken off.
Well you did kind of ask Faye!:oLBM 10/08 £12510.74/0 -
And I'm glad I did
As you know I'm quavering on the edge of being utterly stopped - if I drink now its either incredibly controlled as left unchecked its often harder and more scary.
Taking each day as it comes and finally NOT wanting to drink all the time is amazing - I think I'm getting there slowly.
I'm so pleased that you're completely stopped - there are so many of you who are just doing utterly brilliant.
Lifes just not so UP and very DOWN without drinking (here it is anyway) - I'm finding lots of things done that were previously left.
Glad you're mum is staying with you and glad you're getting on - I don't get on v well at all with mine, never have - but I might keep trying at that one!
