    Fleeced poor old pensioner mummy of a bit of her pension, shes happy to lend it but im old enough to stand on my own 2 feet! Insert embarrassed smiley. Bought roast chicken for tea, will rubberise it into a pie for tomorrow, first ever go at cooking pie, insert eek smiley here. In laundrette doing the smalls then back to mums for a bacon sarnie, insert drool smiley! Mum also forked out for a fivers worth of petrol, will only do till tomorrow but least I dont have to lug shopping, washing and 2 kids on the bus, though they would have enjoyed that! Dont know what id do without my mummy x oh, she even paid for a valentines card for OH!

    Happy Valentines day peeps.

    Jo Sorry to hear that things are so tight on the 'wonga' front. Still - on the bright side at least you won't be able to buy beer :-)

    Lovely sunny day here. Been sorting out some stuff in the shed that has now been freecycled.

    Half of my Valantines Lemon Drizzel cake is in my belly ....yum!!!

    Now sitting in front of the woodburner. Not managed another FAFF, but will try during the week to be good again.

    Lamarsi - :T:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Have a great day everyone.

    Fay - hope Darwin is OK now.

    Well done on getting it sorted jo, I'm sure you don't want to lean on your mum but I'm equally sure she's happy to help and pleased that you shared your problems with her. That's what mums are for! I'm sure Lurky (or similar domestic goddess on here) gave good advice on pie making.

    I'm another of the selfish Valentine people:o OH bought me a card but I didn't buy one for him. He's never done it before (buy a Valentine) but it was very sweet of him just the same. I'm cooking us a lovely roast (bit of beef with loads of trimmings) so I'll have to use that as my way to his heart!!

    Sorry to hear DD's still not 100% marru but half term should give her the chance to pick up. Hope pub lunch was good.

    This is a bit of an odd day for me - OH's not here for valentines as such - he's here cos I get wobbly - this is the fateful day I found out my hubby was being naughty and I left (Dunno why I'm posting this? - its the catalyst of alot of things I suppose)

    Sorry Fay, it must be horrible having a reminder like that on Valentines Day.:(

    :eek: when i lived in Bristol i stood and queued whilst two men held the off licence up at gun point in front of me, I was then shocked that they wouldn't serve me after the robbers had left as it was the only one open at that time of night :A

    :eek::D

    Very dull Valentines Day for me. We're not even doing anything. We might go out for a meal tomorrow but I want to be AF on Monday so it won't be as much fun.

    its something to do with the alternator - (which I know roughly charges the battery by fairies or something) I think we've run out of its fairy power or someat?

    Just found a half HM choklit cake in the freezer which will do nicely for pud later..........

    Yes, the electricity is made by fairy now wearing man made fibres. This physical phenomena didn't occur until they stopped using silk for their outfits. Now that man made fibres are used, a lot of static electricity is created in their garments as they dance and fly. Thus, the battery is charged, as the energy generated is directed down the cable into the lead acid battery ....... Simples ! :D

    Perhaps the man made fibre garments have again been replaced by natural fibre garments due to the newer ones being in the wash??
