Hi, I found this deal http://www.buymobilephones.net/mobile-phones/BlackBerry/BlackBerry-Bold-9700/Orange/Orange-Panther-25-%2824mths%29-inc.-Unlimited-BlackBerry/2125009?&adnetwork=af for the blackberry 9700 but i dont know whether buymobilephones.net are reputable and will post monthly bills?
Also, orange do loads of decent deals on their website but with 'unlimited push internet' and none seem to say unlimited BIS so does this include unlimited push mean unlimited net? thanks//

There is a thread on buymobilephones if you want to see other people's experiences. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=155535
As for monthly bills, they would come from the network directly.0 -

I'm pretty sure all orange blackberry phones are sold with BIS as without BIS you cannot use the blackberry branded browser or email client.
I'm not that keen on the blackberry browser and prefer opera mini 4.2 & logicmail for email and told orange I wanted to switch to a standard (non BIS) tariff and they seemed horrified at the very idea!0 -
i used a black berry phone.. it was nice but the only problem is the emails will make your life miserable..0

Received a BB 9700 Bold for my son this week - £20 p/m with 400 xnet mins, unlimited texts and 500 mb data plus the unlimited push email. It's a 24 month contract and didn't have to pay any extra for the phone - on Orange by the way.
He doesn't like it though.....his previous phone was an iphone which he lost last week and he preferred that. Luckily he was 4 weeks from end of contract (the iphone was bought independently, phone from previous contract was a long-ago-eBayed Sony something-or-other) so opted for the Blackberry as iPhone deals aren't too good.
He's planning on keeping the 9700 until the new iPhone comes out, then selling it as they fetch quite a bit on ebay and buying the new iPhone off-contract.0 -

I thought £25/month was the lowest blackberry plan on orange. I've got the £20 "dolphin" with £5 BIS to give £25 total. (unless of course you mean the £20 is just the cost of the "animal" plan)0 -

No, he got it for £20 (actually in my name, along with the other 2 Orange contracts in the household) - maybe they discounted by £5 for loyalty.
He will probably opt to pay an extra £5 though, to up his data by another 1GB when he gets the new iPhone as his useage was phenomenal0 -

Hi there,
Just wondered what your son dislikes about the 9700 compared to the Iphone because I finish my Iphone contract on 12th February with O2 and because I was eligible for an upgrade from the 13th January I went into O2 and have gone for a month to month £20 simplicity tariff keeping my Iphone but I really really want a new phone but not the £35 p/m tariff that the Iphone carries!! (need to cut my monthly outgoings) I am seriously considering a 9700 and hoping to get it for £25 p/m if I can. I only use about 300-350 minutes and texts each a month. My 19 year old daughter has 2 contracts with Orange (one is in my mums name though - and she has given this one to my 15 year old daughter) and one in hers and I brought my 12 year old daughter a PAYG phone from Orange at christmas so all 3 are on Orange and so I don't mind switching networks (not sure if i would get a discount too though?!!) I'm just a bit worried I won't like the blackberry compared to my Iphone!! Really love my unlimited Internet, e-mails and applications!! Was even thinking of when I send of my 3G iphone to be recycled the money I get back from it (hopefully in the region of £150) I could use to buy an Ipod Touch (my 12 year old daughter has this and it looks good) so I can still play on the apps, use wifi at home and listen to my music too!! - what does everyone think - will I regret changing to a blackberry???
Also how much is 500mb of data a month for internet - always had unlimited with my Iphone and can't afford to go over £25 p/m....
Many thanks in advance....0 -

Wow... You're lucky!!! Thats a good deal. I'm assuming this is the 9700 and not the old one?
What network is this with please?
I'm with O2 and their deals with the 9700 are rubbish!!! Doubt they will give me a good deal if I try ringing them to say I'm leaving???:(0 -
