I'm near the south coast and its rare for us to see the postie before midday. Its usually 1-2pm by the time we get our postTitch0 -
Before I moved, our postman alternated his route, and it was our turn for early post on a Saturday, when I like having a lie in!Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

If you go to royal mails website, there is a bit on there about complaints. Did you complain to the dvd company and ebay sellers?

didn't shut my gate, walked on my grass, my god.
Some people just love to moan.
Last week I was chased by dogs on two different occasions and the owners tried to blame me for opening their gate to deliver their post, we can't win!
As for delivery times postmen start work on average at 5:30 and are not allowed out on delivery until 8.30, slightly earlier on a saturday.
A delivery should take 3 1/2 hours so the customers at the end of the delivery should get their post around 12:30-13:00. This includes travel time to the first delivery point.
At the moment Royal Mail are making postmen participate in a summer savings scheme, which basically is going to add another 30-45 minutes to a delivery!
how you can call someone lazy who walks for 20 hours per week, gets up at 4:30 and gets abused, wet, bitten and chased for £8ph makes me laugh.
Still I best go to bed I need my beauty sleep.nothing.0 -

I too am chased daily by peoples dogs, if i arrive at door too early im wrong, too late im wrong. Not at all and i must be keeping the mail at the office as "i always get mail".
Lets see how good these new postal companies will be when they start delivering the mail. I bet all the people out in the rurals wont get one delivery per day as they do now, more like one per week, as the cost will be too much.0 -
fwiw I love my postie, he's great, helpful, friendly and a very nice man
It's such a pitty the co he works for is crap0 -

Your lucky a little physical labor(picking them up your god dam self!-hard work i know!) is all you have to moan about! my postie sometimes thinks it's best to leave all of my 30+ flats mail on the floor in the entrance. Ready for any greedy c u next Tuesday to nick. remind your self of reality. if you get crazy mad about a tiny rubber band what would you do if something really bad happened?-like the postman didn't shut your gate?-shock F'ing Horror!
PLEASE ASK YOUR SELF IF THERE IS ANYTHING MORE WORTH WHILE TO MOAN LIKE A BABY ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!;)
Maybe put your energy into clicking charity sites rather than banging on about nothing on here...If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0 -
I know a lot of people can get upset about mail associated problems but i believe the majority of the postal staff do a great job.If the only problem you get in life is someone leaving your gate open or walking on your grass:eek: then you have nothing to worry about.Maybe you should get out more or watch any news bulletin and see people with real problems. As for the red elastics they are bio-degradable so a couple of good rainfalls and they will be gone before you know it.The postal staff get my support for the difficult job they do.:T0

He didn't even bother to knock.
Do you think i should email royal mail and amazon regarding this?
Carrie.
