    Evening all

Had a great drive out this morning DD was in good form for once and it wasn't a chore at all :D

Stopped off at @sd@ on the way in and picked up a bit of shopping and then when I got home DS1 had done my housework :T

So I may not move an awful lot until monday :D I've got some mince for dinner tomorrow - which i'll throw at the slow cooker in the morning and it will either be cottage pie of mince stew. haven't decided yet.

DD is bathed, fed and ready for bed and I'm intending to end the day wrapped around several vodkas :D

If I have a ripple of energy tomorrow I might make some biscuits. I got some cereal reduced which looks like it would be nice as a kind of flapjack bar so I might see if I can find a recipe to adapt. Also got some oats reduced so thats a good enough excuse to make Twinks' (like I need an excuse:rotfl:)

    Have a good evening

Spitting feathers at not being able to go to meet in London, car was financial reason....came down this morning to a pool of water at bottom of stairs, we obviously have slates or something missing, although there is no sign of damp on same place upstairs IYKWIM so maybe its not as bad as I fear, but more money to be spent even investigating problem.

Had some turkey out of freezer for dinner, with mashed carrots, parsnips and potatoes....last of Christmas pudding to follow, turned out really well this year, might make a lighter one when I have some crumbs.

Going to DD4 in a bit to finally finish her b***dy curtain panels....wish that she had gone for ordinary curtains but fabric has been cut so will try to get them sorted to-night...not a chance that OH will come with me as he must watch the London Irish/Leinster game and DD doesn't have channels!

Damp and misty here all day, quite foggy now, hate this kind of weather.

Hugs to all in need or want of one, especially those with lots on their minds for one reason or another.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Sorry to be dense but how do you get that link to work. I have tried and it didn't work.

Happy Birthday to Bargain Bird's Baby boy. I always think one is a very special birthday. Hope you enjoy the party.

  • Hugs to Bargainbird, horrible feeling miserable isn't it. I slept for 2 hours on the sofa this afternoon.

BB - 16 hours sleep - lucky you :D Obviously needed it. Hope you're feeling perkier now.

NPM - Not done any baking either - discovered that I don't have enough Stork left to make anything with grrrr. So sat and watched Little Women for an hour - I can't turn down Christian Bale ;)

Molly - I go to the hystersisters site, right click over the smilie I want and select copy, come back to MSE and right click and past in the reply box. Works every time for me.

Having fish finger sandwiches for tea. Have been picking at food ALL day and am not really that hungry :o

Hope everyone had/is having a great time at the meet today.

    "A bit of a drink" Edilass???????:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm banjaxed. :o Spent all day in the garden. OH raised the sides of the chicken run as they all ran out on the road yesterday and OH had to get them in as I was out. Funny how the embarrassment of having to round them up himself concentrated his mind to do something about it. ;) We have to do the boundary fence in the garden as well so they can continue to free range but the run is a priority so I can get them in at dusk and not worry that they'll jump out again and head up the trees.
While he did that I cleaned out the greenhouse and cut back some shrubs. Also dug over the veg patches and added lots of chicken poo to them. :D
The girls had a party at lunchtime to I spent the morning painting nails and curling hair. I wish I had time to do my own. :o
Lunch was lo macaroni cheese and tea was hot dogs again. I have cleaned the kitchen, hung up the washing and put another load on and I'm not moving again tonight. :D

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday everyone. xxx
