Afternoon all!
Happy birthday Aussie, have a fab day xx
Drove kids up the motorway to meet their dad this morning, have suggested that instead of moaning to me that he doesn't have them from after school on a Friday that they tell him how they feel! I don't think he does it on purpose, more that he just doesn't think it makes a difference!
It was the first time I've done the drive since my crash, so was quite relieved to arrive home in one piece! Got back and did dw, wm, yoghurt, loaded bm with pizza, S&S kitchen, and ate some leftover curry from last night for my lunch! Was going to have a nap, but got distracted watching Poirot lol! Just need to have a tidy of the sitting room, hoover downstairs and make the pizzas - taking one for dinner tonight and others will be for children when I collect them tomorrow.
Off to see Avatar in 3D tonight, not really my kind of film, so hopefully I won't get fidgety and bored! Perhaps I should take my crochet and see if I can do it in the dark!!!
Time for a catch up now, hugs to all who need or want them xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
SunnyGirl where do you find those great smileys??
Supposed to be getting loads done on here, but keep staring off into space :rotfl: only to 'come back' 10 or 15 minutes later . . . then end up going off to do something else. Think I'll pack it in for a few hours and get on with things I wanted to do tomorrow, maybe feel more like the puter stuff then.
That'll teach me to plan ahead! If I was supposed to be doing things around the home, I'd want to be on here to do something or t'other. As with most things, I'm saying it's because of my "time of life" LOL Hope everyone's afternoons are more productive than mine!
Oh, if anybody has any advice to boost 'get up and go' advise away please:D0 -
Quiet on here today - guess a lot of peeps have gone to the meet. Hope you all have a fab time.
Happy Birthday to Aussie. Also to Smoky's DS, glad he enjoyed his birthday.
Took foster cat to the vet for a check up, everything was fine. Then in to Milton Keynes to visit Waitrose, and to get the free chocolate from Superdrug with the coupons in the Daily Express (bought it for the free vitamins, the choccie is a bonus!!).
Need to do some serious tidying this weekend, the house has turned into a pigsty. Deep joy!0 -
Afternoon all, and Hippo Bathday Aussie.
I hope the meet-up is fun; sadly I'm not able to travel to London, or I'd have tried to pluck up the courage to attend.
I shouldn't really be on here at the weekend, but Mr LW's busy doing his Wii Fit+ exercises at the mo. I have to do mine in a bit, which I'm not really looking forward to today, as I feel decidedly icky._pale_
Mr LW was kind enough to cook the jacket spuds for our lunch, and though they were very nice, I had a job to eat mine.
Actually, I must've looked rough earlier - we bought a 12.5 kilo bag of spuds at the market this morning, and the guy on the stall carried it to the car for us; normally I get it plonked on my lap.:rotfl:
So I'm taking it steady for the time being; only job that has to be done today is change the bed, which Mr LW will help with.
Must do some baking tomorrow; we need bread rolls, and I found a recipe for lime biscuits, which I want to try.
I hope you're all having a good weekend; ((((HUGS)))) for all who want/need them, and positive vibes for Tris & Michelle, and all who are poorly or have poorly loved ones.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LM we recently got Just Dance for the Wii and my daughter thinks its more of a work out than Wii Fit and much more fun :j Selling in Tesco for £16 at the moment and its not all recent music, her favourite is Cotton Eye Joe (I'm going to give it a go tonight while she is out)
MSD, not sure what you mean about the removal of a couple of smillies having anything to do with posting in the Arms, this was removed due to over use across all boards and not specifically anything to do with the Arms as I would have thought you would be aware due to posting on the reality show threads there.
Hope the meet is going well in London and everyone is singing Happy Birthday to AL and having a virtual drink on those left behind. This brings me to a distressing thought that I'm sure I read somewhere recently that Pink enjoys a bit of a drink, surely not :rotfl:
this is just a virtual me if soappie is about0 -
First time I have sat down since getting in from DS music lesson:cool:.
Have made 2 meatloaves and cleaned through the house. Made HM fish fingers for DS in an attempt to improve his meals but he wont eat them:p so balls to it Captain Birdseye it is from now on. He only really eats fish fingers, sausages, HM chicken pie in rotation. He does eat some fruit and veg though. Like many autistic children his diet is restricted but am giving up on expanding it at the mo, not worth the hassle.:o
OH has found a MPV he is going to use as a work van and a family car for us so we can get rid of the van and car as having 2 vehicles to run is costing us a small fortune:eek:.
Hope the meet is going ok.
Still not made my chuffing cheese scones:( other peoples requests for food keep getting in the way:p:rotfl:0 -
Back safe and sound, but tired from my class, good drive there and back, apart from the traffic reports not telling us the A46 south was closed due to road works!! thank you I had to drive almost all the way homr again to get onto the M1.
Very enjoyable day, very concentrated especially this afternoon. My skills with a walking foot are ok, it the free motion stuff I have to practice, practice, practice.
Got home to an empty house, I see OH's bad back has not stopped him playing bowls this afternoon!!! Fish and chips for supper, thats about all I can manage, we will finish up the bread and butter pudiing for afters.
Tomorrow we start packing!!!!!Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Whoop we won the rugby :j:j:beer:
And 2 of my friends are now coming over tonight for a girly gossip and bottle of wine
So just need to tidy my bedroom before they get here.
Popped to Lidl for some veg, got a few bargains but they were out of stock of some things. I can't find Risotto Rice anywhere. none in Asda, Tesco or Lidl this week.
