My rover 416, 1999 is running very very rich. Its half tank for 80 miles= 160miles for 50 litres. !!!!!!s.

id say check the pilot screw on the carbs, but thats on a bike!Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000

Does sound like something along the lines of the automatic choke - either that or a hole in the bottom of your petrol tank!0

sparks go to www.mg-rover.org and put your question on the forum, you will get a better response. It maybe something very simple that you can fix yourself without the need of a T4. They are friendly guys over there and will be more than happy to give you answer rather than an opinion of the marque.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0
