Converted all mine on Saturday and now have to wait for them to arrive....all £187.50 of them.

As for spending them on Adams vouchers I have been reassured by people on these boards, people on another board I frequent, and by email direct from Adams that nectar vouchers can be used to purcahse adams vouchers.

My plan is to convert them to adams vouchers saying I'm going to give them away to various friends at Xmas (as well as using some myself of course). If that is refused I'll whip out my email from Adams which says that this is fine. If I then still have trouble I'll call Adams customer services (whilst still in the shop), confirm with them and then pass the phone over to the sales assistant.

Worst case scenario is that I'll have to stock up on clothes pre-bean putting in an appearance which is no major problem. At the end of the day I'd much prefer a pile of clothes than £60 that I'd waste at Sainsbury's or Argos.

Right... got my vouchers today - but only got 6 out of 24! Is this what they do - send them in batches? There's no indication of that on the letter...

Going to go and phone them.

They'd better not do that to me. Grrrr. Let us know what happens (just in case any of us go through the same thing)

    Panic over! :j

They said they send them out in batches of 18, so that's why I got 6 and then an extra 18 should follow soon.

It would help if they actually put that down in the letter!

    Well... the saga continues!

As a warning to those using the Adams vouchers soon - expect a lot of faffing about.

I went to Adams today (the 6 vouchers are already burning a hole in my purse, lol!) and was obviously the first customer to use them - cue problems.

I wasn't looking what the women behind the till were doing (was busy trying to stop DS from wrecking the place :o), until they turned round and expected me to pay extra. Turned out they didn't look at the vouchers and put them through as £5 ones, not £7.50. Well, trying to sort that out took, ooh, about 20 minutes

Then they said they can't give me change - well I knew that, so asked for credit vouchers/gift vouchers back (had them before in these cases). More faffing about...

So the bottom line is: when using these vouchers, make double sure they're putting them through as £7.50 each, not £5.

Also, found vouchers on the desk for £5 off when spending £25 in September. Not valid with gift voucher purchases, but should work with the Nectar ones when buying normal stuff next month. ;)

Oh yes, and remember to use your Nectar card as well as you'll get points even when paying with Nectar vouchers.

    *phew* :D

Are you saying you can use the £5 off voucher in conjunction with the nectar vouchers? sorry I am confused.

I'd expect so, yes. Only in September, though, as that's when the £5 voucher is valid.

Earlier this year, I had £5 Adams vouchers from Comfort, for an £x spend, and I used them with Nectar vouchers. The trick is to hand over the £5 voucher first, so that they won't see how you're going to pay. ;)

(The Nectar vouchers are like cash really, aren't they, so they should accept them in conjunction with total spend vouchers - that's my logic anyway )
