Anyone heard from them on the remaining items? I bought most for little presents and can't really afford to just 'lose' £4... I make enough donations to charity without a forced donation (I know I know I'm mean).
I was told the missing items would be refunded. I can't say I am desperately impressed really.
I ordered a cd and they put the wrong one in but to be fair they are going to send the correct one and I don't have to send the other one back. Anyone who has substitiutes check the website to make sure the original item is actually out of stock and it isn't a mistake.
I phoned in the morning to ask about my order and was told 3 items were missing but when it arrived some other bits were missing too. I had to phone again and the extra missing bits were listed as in my package which they weren't. There is no paperwork sent in the parcels so there is no way of telling what is actually meant to be in it and what is out of stock etc. I was told I will be refunded for the missing bits which is good but I wouldn't have been refunded for the other missing bits because as far as they were aware they had been supplied. It was only because I had phoned in the morning that I knew what was supposed to be missing. There really needs to be some paperwork in the parcels so you know what should be in there.
I have ordered from the leprosy mission in a similar vastly reduced sale where the stock sold out very quickly and I have to say they were far more efficient.0 -
I have to give them credit, albeit as I got all the items I ordered, and consider them ALL well worth the money, I think theyre intentions were good, and will issue refunds to everyone who didnt get their orders. I dont think it was in anyway some kind of "forced charity", nobody had their arms twisted.
They are a charity, I even donated a little extra for the charity in recognition.
Had I not received my items I can understand, after a post on MSE, they got overwhelmed, and in NO WAY expected a massive influx of orders. I would be surprised if they did such a deal again, as I cannot imagine them making much profit out of it (even if for a worthy cause), still I would be more than happy to have returned the refund to them to go towards the charity fund. (A miserly £8)
Saying this, I have no doubts they will be honest enough to either re-stock and send the items, or refund everyone who has not received their items, along with an apology.
Its just a shame that their system got hammered in such a rapid way as a result of a post on MSE, I am sure this was not the OP's intention.
Be patient and give this "small charity" company a decent chance to honour their agreements before knocking them down for trying.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I received my order in full and am really pleased with the items. I didn't get a despatch email so was pleasantly surprised when it turned up. Sorry that some of you didn't get your orders but pleased for those that did. I agree the system is not the best and they were obviously overwhemed with orders after me posting a link on here. Hope that those still waiting receive your orders.0

Really pleased you got your order especially seen as how you discovered the bargains
I ordered on the 21st and I am still waiting. The funds have been taken out of my account, so I will give it another few days and if nothing will chase it up as I realise they have been inundated.
Thanks again for posting

Today I have just received 3 items. Fingers crossed that the rest comes, but I'm not holding out much hope!Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. ~ Mother Teresa0 -
