How long are these taking?
Got my husband to apply for one 3 weeks ago but have heard absolutely nothing. Stooze money on Virgin 0% ending 7th May. Thought would move some to here as no fee, but no sign of any card. Conversly I applied for first direct to shift rest of stooze and within 4 days had credit agreement to sign. Grrrrrrr!
Unfortunately hubby poorly motivated to chase up A+L!!0 -
6-8 weeks is optimistic at the moment ...
I applied on 09/02/10 and money appeared in Egg Money account 06/04/10"A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -
Got the card in with £13k limit, so have made a top-up BT to max it out.
Interestingly, their systems let me BT 95% of the available credit, not 95% of the credit limit. Implies you could phone repeatedly and try and BT increasingly smaller amounts.
They did confirm that the 0% BT lasts for the full 12 months, so you can phone each month after they update at their side with your min payment and do another BT to keep the card maxed.
Expected stoozing profit about £780 from this card."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -

That's good to know.
What tel no did you phone?
What authentication did they ask for when you phone, as all I have written down is a keyword when I applied for the card?0 -
The number on the back of your card will do. Was the activation people I spoke to who transferred me through to their CS people to do the transfer.
Didn't give them any keyword, just the usual ID questions, name, address, card details, dob, etc."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -

6% is after tax - have maxed out my decent savings accounts for the nil-risk options, and now being semi-adventurous with the rest - still not risking the capital though"A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -
Bumping this up as this is indeed a good offer for existing santander(Abbey) and A&L a/c holders. If you do not have a bank a/c then simply apply for one and then you become eligible. A fee free 0% BT is hard to come by!hello, money,:beer:0

Hubby's credit agreement (or should I say 2 identical ones!!) arrived today. now in the post back to them. Fingers crossed the transfer happens before I start accring interest on Virgin card.0

The card I have was opened last September, so was wondering if I could do what you said.
So I phoned up about transferring the rest to max out my credit limit.
Unfortunately my original BT offer of 12 months / £0 BT fee was no longer available.
But fortunately there was another offer until December of 0% and £0 BT fee, so have now maxed out my card.
cheers CannyJock0
