Very mixed reports. From those who've applied and been successful, should be between £2,000 and £12,000
Obviously your personal circumstances will dictate what you actually get.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
I have £9000 waiting to be BT'd with Halifax - daft question but not encountered it before - can you do a part BT i.e. £6500 of a £9000 balance?
Yup, you can. Presumably you'll be paying the other £2500 to Halifax from your stoozepot? You won't get 100% of your credit limit to BT with Santander - should work out about 93% they way they work things."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -

When do you find out your credit limit?
Is it displayed there and then when you complete the online application or do you receive details of it in a letter?0 -

Got my card Saturday and they have let me transfer 95% of my credit limit from Halifax card - no problem. If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0

Hi All,
I have been turned down for this,so would like too appeal as not on electoral roll,so will give it a shot, as think its just a abbey thing possibly or at least may give insight into my experian report.
What the hell do you say when appealing though?
If anyone has any experience that may be helpful in a appeal letter,thanks.0 -

You're basically trying to put forward a common-sense argument that will be reviewed by an underwriter.
Point out that you're now on the electoral register since (dd/mm/yy) but were not at the time of the initial application. As that's a negative for stability you need to adress that issue, if it's because you've just moved house then you need to explain that, other ways to address stability would be stating how long you've been at that address, term in employment, term with bank.
Point out responsible credit history, income, and anything else that paints the picture they want to see. Never does any harm to mention how much you were looking forward to build an ongoing relationship with Santander for other financial products."A child of five could understand this. Hi CannyJock,
Thanks for all those points, will use what I can.
It could be two points, if I had to guess or assume, one is not on electoral roll and the other perhaps too many overdrafts/bank accounts?
Again thanks for your time.0
