I wonder if 'Baby Boomer Money Savers' fits into the picture on this forum?

This age range applies to people between around 46 and 64, which is probably about right for the MSEers posting and reading here - with a couple of young- in- heart distinguished exceptions. ;)

On the whole, it seems that topics about those in the more senior age groups tend to apply to forum posters' parents. So certainly relevant, but at one remove, so to speak.
    Trying to keep it simple...;)
  • I like Baby Boomer (I'm one) except, as you say, several of our valued regulars are older than that. Wouldn't like them to feel excluded (nor any new people of over 70).

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

The difficulty with Baby Boomer is that it covers quite a narrow generation group and can't apply to those born before or after the boom.

I've never known whether I'm a boomer or a buster or what! Same with post-modern and post-post-modern, I guess I'm still stuck in the modern mindset. :rotfl:

If it ain't broke leave it alone. I am gold, not silver, but who cares. I am 69 and am an avid reader and poster and very sure I am not in the majority. and I don't care what I am called. Silver Surfer is fine. Baby Boomer NEVER!!!

I don't mind Silver Savers (silver is money, after all) but I don't like the term 'elderly' which also gets bandied around.

Thick as a brick, me :D I've just noticed we've lost the 'Silver Savers' tag - when did that happen :rotfl:
