Hi Got an appointment Sheffield County Court 12th Feb 9.00am. Please add me to your list and wish me luck. Not sleeping very well worried about what will happen on the day, making sure paper work is all present and coorect etc.0

Thanks LPNA. I had a lovely, reassuring chat with my business accountant tonight, and he has told me that the interview will be fine. I know my SoA is as accurate as I could have possibly made it, and therefore I just need to answer the questions, stop stressing about what will be a standard interview, and then carry on moving on

I can tell you it'll all be alright, but from my experience I know you'll carry on stressing anyway
Just get your stuff ready the night before (so you are not lying awake worrying about what to remember to take), and give yourself plenty of time to get there (and some extra). They are not trying to trip you up, nor catch you out, they are just trying to confirm that you have completed the form.
As I said, no-one can tell you to relax, as it's not the sort of thing we do every day, and the unknown makes us nervous, but believe me, you've done the hard bit (facing up to the fact that you have to do this) and if you stop and think about it, you'll realise that too.VSP Challenge 2014 #??? - £9.970 -

Hi everyone,
I have just got an appointment for court for 18th February. It has all happened so quick, which is good as I dont have so much time to think about it
Its strange to feel worried and relieved at the same time.
The forums have been a godsend, and have helped me massively to get to this point.
I have enjoyed reading this thread, and dont feel so alone with it now.
Thanks to everyone

Hi guys,
Well I went to court today, all ok, lots of hanging around and the initial guy I dealt with wasn't particularly friendly, (I felt quite nervous) but then I saw the judge and he was really nice/supportive. By the time I'd got back from Brighton, I had a call from the OR, which I was impressed with. He seems nice although I am worried about the interview and being quizzed about the debts. Now have to wait to see if I get called in for an OR interview in person or if over the phone - will find out next week.
Wasn't sure how I felt really when I came out, mixed emotions, am a bit tearful now and will be glad when it's all over but there is light appearing! Tomorrow is a new day!
Thanks for everyones advice and good luck to those waiting - overall this first bit wasn't as bad as I was expecting.0 -
Glad it went well LPNA
I think you hit the nail on the head regarding what it is like (although I'm sure you'll agree with me that no amount of comforting words beforehand can relax you totally about it).
The folks in the court are just people doing a job - they're not trying to humiliate, ridicule or intimidate you, they are just trying to process number xxx1 and move on to xxx2. But they are like the rest of us, they have good days and grumpy days, and it sounds like you got one of each

Good luck on the 18th (strange thing to say, you don't need luck, you just need to go and do it).
I won't repeat my advice again...it's a few posts up, but try not to add further stress on yourself by leaving things to the last minute, just get everything ready as soon as you can, and the 18th will be here before you know it

Hi ClassyLady, Dawlish & Onward (you all went BR about the smae time as me!) Just wondered if any of you have got letters from the OR yet?or confirmation of your interview - I haven't (not that I am bothered, the longer it takes the better really, or at least the more pay days I can have before I will have to part with money again the better :rotfl:
Just wondered if the process can take a while? When I spoke to them from the court on the 3rd they said I would get a letter within a week.... but then said that they wouldn't be dealing with it as they were too busy.... so my file will be passed to swansea.... as it was all credit card/overdraft with no property involved.
Am I right in thinking that the longer they take the better for me?!;)0
