Getting paint off carpets?

Not strictly money saving - although might be if I end up having to buy a new carpet!!!
Painted the dining room yesterday, used dust sheets on floor etc, didn't realise one of them had got turned over and the paint ended up on carpet. Two blobs, approx 50p size in quite prominent places. It had dried before I realised.
Does anyone know how to remove it (it is emulsion).
All help appreciated - especially as declined DH offer of help (because he always makes a mess!), so need to remove it before he gets home
Thanks!Now proud Mumto3 :j0 -
Help please
Am, trying to decorate and have bright turquoise paint all over my light blue carpet. Any ideas how to get rid of it? Some of it has already dried in!!!0 -
I manage to remove a dry spillage on our carpet with NitroMors...It stinks like hell, burns your hands (so wear gloves) and is probably toxic to animals but WTH it worked after much dabbing.
Someone else might have a better solution though.0 -
If it's just emulsion then let it dry and use the end of the hoover (hose bit) to scrape/suck it off.0

Sorry, I thought we'd caught this one. Give me a minute and I'll find an older thread that helps with various paints on carpets. I'll edit back into this post so watch this space...

I'm in the middle of decorating and painted the landing window sill with white gloss paint this morning and went to the kitchen for a well deserved cuppa.
When I went back into the hallway one of my delightful moggies had jumped on the window sill and obviously didn't like the wet paint so jumped down again, leaving a trail of paw prints dwn the stairs
Most of it has come off with baby wipes  but there's still faint marks where they were - any ideas for removing it completely?GOD BLESS DURAN DURAN
