Well another day confined to barracks. Was quite ill during the night, I went to bed feeling quite unwell and running a bit of a temperature last evening, started being sick during the night and then started with the "runs". Still feel quite odd this morning so will have to see how I go, the hospital said to ring them if any problems as it could be the start of an infection so will have to be careful.
I have pottered around a little this morning though and managed a shower whilst DD was still at home to make sure I was Ok. Have thrown some chicken breasts in sc with some Asda curry sauce and chopped onions, mushrooms and peppers from the freezer so that will do them for tea tonight. There are some frozen chips in the freezer too for emergencies so they can have them with the curry.
Might have a go at my knitting today, have been unable to concentrate up to now.
Am expecting a lovely new phone in the post today, O2 rang me yest and said my contract was up for renewal and did I want an free iphone - now I have fancied one of those for ages so was delighted to take them up on their offer - for no increase in my monthly fee and alot better amount of minutes and texts! (not that I will probably use the extra but nice to have it anyway!)
Anyway have a nice day everyone

And belated birthday greetings to Poohbear as well.
Nic1Lou2 - we are off to the Bahamas for 2 weeks with Ocean Village. Wasn't really very excited about it until last night, but beginning to be so now!
Thriftlady - I'll be making marmalade too! have just found my muslin bag for the pips, etc. Thought I'd lost it! My original one lasted many many years, but last time I made marmalade (2 years ago as I made loads and loads) I had to make a new one. Ho-hey, bring on the knife to start the shredding!Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0 -

Morning everybody,
Poohbear- hope you enjoyed your birthday meal.
Finished the upstairs clean and tidy,so just downstairs now.I did a lot of washing yesterday so have that to put away too.
DS1 heard from DS2 on FB,enjoying his snowboarding but could do with more snow!(He's in Andorra).I bet his dad will be glad he's back next week to work with him,as he is recovering from a fall yesterday and is very sore-part of the footing for the extension they are doing gave way as he was getting it ready to put concrete in,and he fell 5' down into it.The ground was soft and slippy due to lots of rain.He also thinks his phone came out of his pocket,so will now be buried under the concrete - to add insult to (his) injury. He cut his face and banged his ribs, but I suppose it could have been worse. He's had to go today to organise someone else, but will be taking it very easy I think.
Roast chicken done in the Remoska tonight, that will leave plenty for DS1 to have tomorrow as we are out with the friends who are coming tomorrow.
Hugs to everyone who is in need of one, &Lowesy,Molly,Nic1,Reverbe and friend.x

morning all!
Hugs to those that need them.
Didn't get time to post yesterday as time just seemed to run away with me.
Saw DS2 off to school at 8.30 this morning, went upstairs to get dressed and i was a bit cold so jumped into bed to warm up and the next thing i know i woke up and it was 10.30am!! I must of needed it though and feel much better for it.
Today I have put one load of washing in and will get that on the airer when its finished. Also gave the kitchen tops a good going over and have polished the front room.
As i mentioned before i borrowed the thrifty cookbook from the library and enjoyed it so much that yesterday i went on Amazon and ordered it for myself. I also ordered the new hairy bikers book so am looking forward to those arriving.
Yesterday i made the onion marmalade from the thrifty book and have frozen it so will be adding some of that to my next lot of stew and soup. Also made a delishious (? that spelling looks wrong but dont know why lol) banoffee pie which we had for dessert last night.
Dinner tonight will be bolognaise bake which i got from the good to know website - just hope it turns out ok.
Well gotta run - have a good day everyone!! x0 -
Morning all,
Feel strange to be on so early...belated birthday wishes for Poohbear.
HM pizza for dinner to-night, have just had juice this morning so far, OH is in the kitchen cooking a mountain of food...he doesn't understand that there are now just two of us to feed!
Hugs to all in need
Car wasn't ready yesterday so will have to ring garage in a bit as I have two problems....need it so that I can collect DGS2 at 2.25, neither have I any way of getting to garage....hope that they will offer to pick me up.

Morning all.
I'm a tad spaced out today; we've started getting up half an hour earlier, as the traffic between here and Letchworth seems to have increased, and Mr LW has been struggling to get to w*rk on time. First day of it today, so I'm feeling the effects. Need extra :coffee: I think!
Stef I do so sympathise with your DD; when I divorced the ex, I was able to get the Judge to agree to keep my address off the court papers (I'd moved out); to this day the ex doesn't know where I am. I hope your DD can get it all sorted out so that she can concentrate on the imminent baby.
Elona thanks for the explanantion - I've never heard of Gok Wan, but I do know who Trinny & Susannah are, although I've never seen their programmes.:D
Pasta and cheese sauce for dins tonight - as I'm now trying to follow a meal plan, I've started putting stuff out ready the night before, so that I remember what we're having without having to consult the spreadsheet. I did this last night, and when he realised what I was doing, Mr LW offered to dice the onion and put it in a little plastic box, to save me a bother.:A
Have started on Flylady list for today; better get on and do some more.
((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today; healing vibes for Tris & Michelle and anyone else suffering pain, and a special (((HUG))) for Lowesy. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Good Morning,
Ive been out and about to Post Office and to get some money out of the bank:eek: Roll on "pay day". I hate January for money.
Ds1 out of bed and dogs walked. He hates it when I wake him up but I reckon its my prerogative when he wakes me up coming in at all hours:p:p
My washing mountain is being tackled again. My cleaner is here which is good so we will be nice and clean and tidy for the weekend
We had stirfry last night in the end which was nice.
Thanks for the hugs yesterday. Im getting some perspective on it now and trying to "Keep Calm and Carry On".
Hugs to Lowesy and hope you feeling better today NicLou. Hope you didnt pick up that Norovirus in the hospital.
xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
.... Had a fit lst night when the movers rang to tell me how much the boxes were going to be.......£150, so I will be trying to sell them on when they are empty..........
Crikey Csarina, that's pricey! How many do you get for that? Are they like tea-chests? Maybe they would consider buying them back from you? Have to say it sounds like you & OH are "all systems go" for your move :T
Not much OS for me after work today - washing-up, some ironing to tackle while waiting for OH to get home, make a roasted veggie lasagne for tomorrow's supper / freezer, soak some chick peas and make guacamole & hoummous for the weekend
:grouphug: for all who would like one

... Mr LW offered to dice the onion and put it in a little plastic box, to save me a bother.:A
LW, do you have a food processor? I can now boast pretty good knife skills thanks to lessons from OH (:p) but prior to that I always used to chop a huge batch of onions in the food processor & freeze them on a tray and then put in a big bag, so I could grab a handful or two when needed. Stops the tears as well, unless you are leaning over the top when you take the lid off!0
