Achelois, In my case not much, I started 1st Feb, and I've had a whole load of 'pay up now' letters, 2 acceptances, and 2/3 barclaycard statements which just mention the minimum payment has changed to what CCCS are offering and interest has changed.
Oh and the phone starts ringing......and sometimes doesn't seem to stop....0 -
Achelois - not sure about your old Lloyds account but Halifax are still charging me £5 a DAY :eek:for being over my over draft!! Which is only because they took their fee's:mad:0

Losing - Natwest were the first of mine to accept my DMP.0

HI guys thanks..........wow every time I think I'm gonna make the next move something puts a spanner in the works! I thought it would be easier just to move to the TSB being as the account is already open and ready to use.
With the Co-op account can I pay cash in at the post office and it will be in my account the same day?
If once I have moved my salary and child benefit to be paid into the new accout, then arranged for all the mortgage, bills and all the direct debits to come out of the new one, what do I do with the Natwest account? I cant close it as it will be overdrawn, so what do I do with it, can I ask them to freeze it or do I just ignore it and put it on the DMP? I am just scared of being in overdraft and they just continue to take charges. I am not OVER the overdraft but I am IN the overdraft.
How long will it be before the DMP stuff comes, will I have time to sort out the chnging of all the direct debits etc? As this could take me a few weeks.
Questions questions....sorry folks but I am so confuddled!!!0 -
Hi Losing once you have your new account up and running, I would just ignore the Nat West account and put it on the DMP. As for charges I don't know whether they will stick additional ones on, but I would imagine so (banks being banks and all that).
Bit worrying that RBS say they have no facility to freeze accounts  I bet if you reported fraud on your account they would suddenly "find" a way to do it....Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Wowzer! Lots of Q's today...so here's my thoughts (for what it's worth
)
Losing - agree with everyone that you need to cut loose from NatWest, change over all your DDs etc. and include the o/d in your DMP. This is what I've done with Nationwide. Not able to close the account so it's just sitting there unused.
On the Co-Op, I would imagine if you pay in cash at the Post Office is shows up the same day, most banks do this so I can't imagine the PO being any different (although maybe double, double check when you go in).
Wikipedia is useful for checking who's linked to who. I think there's a link on as the CCCS a question thread too.
Achelois - it's a tricky one with your Lloyds account (can't believe they charge you for the privilege!!)...I think I'd just sit tight and see what does happen, whether they charge you or not (which they shouldn't if it's not your main account anymore). You could speak to CCCS and see if they've had similar experiences (I'm sure they have)?
I don't have much to report, still no post and very weirdly no calls (these could be my famous last words!)
I am slightly freaking out that my Nationwide O/D officially goes default today!!:eek: Has anyone else had a default, what happens? I'm a bit scared!!:eek:

Very jealous on the no calls! CrapOne called me 15 times yesterday  on my mobile too! Going to have to write them a harrasment letter, especially seeing as they haven't accepted anything yet.
Ooo defaults are really exciting (not!) they're nothing to worry about, just a letter that says in big letters DEFAULT and explains that its going on your credit record. Its cause for celebration really because a default will officially be gone in 6 years so you can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!
LOVE pancakes, very happy day :jPaddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Hi Losing, don't know re the Co Op account...does it say anything on their website? can you give them a ring?
Re your overdrawn account, the CCCS have included it as part of a future DMP. The bank, RBS, havw written though saying they have no facility to freeze the account....
So if I go and put £1000 from the Natwest Overdraft into my new account and then the overdraft goes onto the DMP.....is this ethical?
Do you recommend that I definitely do NOT use the TSB account as this is just sitting there waiting to be used. I am a bit worried that it would take 6-8 weeks to set up for cash to be paid into my co-op account as i need to do this weekly as OH gives me cash towards the household weekly which I manually pay in. He cant do it electronically as he gets paid in cash at work and gives it me from that.
Its going to be real complicated changing all my direct debits as they all come out on separate days over the month, there is not one dd that comes out on the same day as another one, some are on the 1st, 3rd, 7th, 11th, 16th, 19th, 22nd, 28th etc etc. There are altogether about 14 DDs all coming out on different days. This is gonna be a mammoth task.
Also I am not going to know the exact amount of the overdraft once I "leave" Natwest as it will be changing all the time depending on which direct debits have come out before I have managed to change them to the new accoutn.
Oh gosh..........:-(0
