  • Go for it True, if it's for a friend who knows about your 'little problem' he'll probably be very understanding.
And good luck to the OH with the 2nd interview.
Glad things are looking up for you x

Good Afternoon & welcome to the newbies!

Hope everyone is having a good Monday, I've nothing to report, sending off my token payment letter soon but still don't know what the postman has bought me until I get home...

True - I absolutely agree with everyone, go for the chip shop job, worse case (and I use this a LOT) it doesn't work out and you have to stop. At least you can say you gave to a go. Better than a lot of if's and but's.

And as PDD say....free chips!! :j:j

Mamajojo / coffeebreak - Good luck with the Mystery Shopping, what company is it with? Is it something you could do part time do you think? (I work full time)

Wow true thats brill. Defo go for it, you've got nothin to lose.

Only prob, how on earth are you gonna resist those yummy yummy chips.... making me hungry just typing :)

Been to Aldi today, with my youngest in his pram. Oh not a good idea. Imagine if you can - a big pram, 4 pints of milk, 2L juice and large bag of frozen chips and laundry bits n bobs. If that wasnt bad enough, the guy on the till chucked the stuff through soooo fast it nearly went all on the floor! Never ever again...

  • Yeah, you would be able to start again with the online debt remedy thingy, you might have to use a different email address though, not sure?

Glad you've spoke to the OH though, must be a weight of your shoulders x

Hi, well, not much has been said by OH about this so I dont think he really realises the full impact, and I dont want to anger so Ive kind of avoided him all weeend whilst torturing myself with thoughts of what is going to happen.

Will my bank (Natwest, with whom I hold a current account) know if I start the DMP. I really really dont want to change banks as I wont be able to pay cash in every week and there are no other banks near me, I was wondering if I could exclude the Natwest credit card from the DMP and just put all the other ones on the plan, then I can keep paying the minimum payment on the natwest card, or will they know?

I dont understand how I can open a new account if I have nothing to put in it, and also, if I do open another account, I wont be able to close the Natwest one because I am overdrawn, so potentially if they wanted to the other creditors could continue to take money from my natwest just using the overdraft. (the lady on the CCCS helpline said even though its a bit naughty they sometimes do this if they dont agree to the DMP terms). I am so confused and I just dont know what to do.

I wasthinking of going onto the Debt Remedy again and inputting a new set of figures without the natwest debt. Can I do this and disregard the DMP paperwork that is a,ready on its way to me, and start again?

Please help, I am so confused and I am feeling sick with worry about this. SOrry to be a pain, thankyou so much :(
  • Losing - Part of the conditions with CCCS is that you include all debt in the DMP, so all creditors are treated fairly. If you leave one out then the ones included are less likely to accept. But how they'd find out I'm not sure, Is it just the credit card with Natwest or is there an overdfaft there too?
  • True - really glad you decided to go for it, will be thinking of you but just make sure you save some chips for us x

You can't exclude one creditor from a DMP as this would be seen as preference and the other creditors may not play ball if they think that is going on. Look at the co-op website, I opened a new account with them, no credit checks, you can open with a £1 and you can bank online so don't need a branch. You can also use the Post Office to pay in or draw out as well as 1000s of cash machines. get your firm to swop your salaries before the end of the month and add Natwest to your DMP. You're not a pain so don't worry.

Well if I dont mention it then they wouldnt know, would they? I am overdrawn at the moment but I may be able to come back into credit (just) at the end of this week when I have sold everything I own on ebay lol. SO then it would just be the credit card with Natwest.

    Thanks
