Im gonna forget about it for tonight, try and have a relacxing evening and I am going to sit down tomorrow and spend the day figuring this out. Will I be able to start on CCCS again with a new set of figures? I cant access the original det relief thingy because the pack is on its way.
Thanks again, have a peaceful weekend everyone0 -
Well done, losing :T what a relief for you :T. You're under no commitment with the CCCS. You could start your DMP with them until you feel better prepared to go it alone and self-administer. Whatever you decide, they wouldn't refuse to advise you

Debt £5000, started DMP with CCCS Feb 20100 -
no what i meant was restart on web debt relief thingy as if i never went on, and put the correct figures in (as I doctored them so it would give me the option of DMP) and then get a new booklet sent out. Would this work?0

Yeah, you would be able to start again with the online debt remedy thingy, you might have to use a different email address though, not sure?
Glad you've spoke to the OH though, must be a weight of your shoulders x0 -
cool, thank, will do it again tomorrow. :-)0

Losing thats brill news re telling your OH. Im sure that will be the hardest thing you'll ever have to do. I agree with everyone, its easier to start with CCCS, creditors believe it or not seem to actually respond better when it comes from someone like that. However I think you should change banks. If you have no other branches around you what about Smile (the co-ops online account). I have an account with them and if I need to pay a chq in then you just post it. Takes about 1-2 weeks to get on your account. Or how about the post office. You can get online accounts that you could put hard cash into, then simply transfer them online to whatever bank account you have. No need to visit the branch. If you stay with Natwest and you have debts with them there is a strong chance they will take your income, unfortunately they are allowed to do this. Also if you do self-admin you cannot pay your creditors whatever you like. You need to divide the money you have between the diff creditors according to how much you owe each one. There are calculators on the web that work this out for you. So for example, you cant pay one creditor the full min repayment and then expect the other creditors to accept reduced payments. You will probaby have to send a copy of the payment breakdown, along with your budget to all creditors.
Anyway, hope you enjoy your evening

Thanks Nataz!
Do you or anyone else know about getting a savings account? Been reading on the bankruptcy site that if you are bankrupt you can still get an internet account with the Yorkshire Building Society but that's about the only one. Guess I had thought they would not do a credit search as you are saving therefore no risk to them...wondered how it affects people with poor credit/DMP? Thinking about opening one to save for car tax, summer childcare etc...
Hi Ted - i was thinking about much the same thing. Also of trying to put a bit by if I can out of my DMP "allowance" for household repairs and unplanned expenses. My old bank allowed me to have as many internet savings accounts as i liked - which would have been good in this situation. Shame i blotted my copybook with them.
ps - I like your way of not opening post at the weekend. I may try that too.:beer:Sealed Pot challenge 2011 member 1051 - aiming for £365

:jLosing :jI'm so happy that you've told your OH, I read your posts yeasterday, then DH had taken over computer all day and evening, I kept thinking of what I could write to encourage you to tell him! You've done it, I bet you feel so much better.
Tedsd - I went into Yorkshire bank to ask about account with dmp on thurs, we need another for the reasons you said and also cos I nabbed our new co-op account for paypal and ebaying, so dh needs one he can set up a dd for paypal to too. Their basic one was paying 0.5% interest was a cash card and you could do internet banking and set up dds, cant remember wht it was called.
Coffee-Break:D A month ago, i would have panicked reading this, today i contemptuously throw the letter to one side and get on with my day.
One day I will be brave like you!!!!!

The co-op run savings accounts alongside the cashminder account, I think its called something saver, I can move money between them online instantly which I found really useful for taking out the yearly budget from the monthly budget stuff? Must be a bit incoherant this morning lol!!!More than Two Years in
