    Hi All,

what info did you have to give when setting up your new basic bank accounts? I'm thinking about opening one to start keeping money I have to save for car insurance etc...

Morning Teds - I opened new a/c with NatWest, just supplied usual info, name address, DOB etc. nothing out of the ordinary. Did it online and all in all took about 2 and a bit weeks to get up and running. I've got a Visa Debit card, but with no o/d or cheque gaurantee. HTH

Next to nothing mate. Just usual ID stuff and security bits. I have one with Barclays (for day to day) and one with RBS (for car tax etc) both have a Visa Debit card with them. I had to apply in branch for Barclays but RBS you can do online. HTH xx

    Good morning:A
Nataz - wow dd and self night time denappyfication, have you let her try!? DD and DS both came out of night time nappies pretty soon after getting the hang of it in the day time, but I only took them off after they'd been dry for a good few weeks at night! Don't think they'd ever decide to do it themselves! How's you little one with icky botty doing...thought ds2 was better but he's gone backwards and has a v. sore bum now. DD still off school, she's v sad!
Nanny More dodgy hugs heading your way:grouphug:Hope today brings better news.
LJM - How you doing with that 1471 habit? Have you stayed away this morning???

It seems bcard have accepted, changed payment due date, set min payment to cccs payment and zero interest and fees, most organised of all of the ? OMG! I can't remember how many creditors there are!? Just opened the file of doom, 15 is the number of creditors. Oh heck getting a bit laid back about this, that means it'll all turn round and bite me on the bum.

Thanks Both, can't go anywhere near Natwest  but Co op will be ok. Do you have to go through your incom/expenditure? When I called into Barclays months ago, the girl there said she would go through it with me and I thought Yikes, no chance! This was pre LBM but still, I don't know for a few more weeks what I will be earning...

Mama - did you have to put £1 in over the phone?

No talk of money specifics at all, think I did say that dh's wages would be going in there but that was a much as it was. Didn't pay anything in to open it, visa debit card came well before any money went in. Call didn't take long either.
