CCCS have got back to me re the duration of a default on credit file? It is six years from when it it placed and not an extra 6 years once it is paid. So thats good news. Now for the rant. Checked my online banking today and utility company have taken out a DD which I wasnt expecting. It was normally taken out on the 1st of the month but when I changed my DD's to my new account I changed the date to 15th stupidly not realising that another payment would could out today. (so they have 2 this month). And here's me thinking I'm rich this month. Also just checked on my sky account and something has gone wrong there as I cancelled the DD when the last bill came out on 1st March clearly states online bill paid thank you but they must have been slow in taking it from my old bank so the DD has been returned. So I now owe them when I thought I had paid. Will ring them tonight. Havent finished work yet so I bet when I get home I'll have some letters from my creditors to finish me off. It feels good to type this.............. feel free to ignore but its done me the world of good.

I know but with the utlity bill being an extra £53 and the sky to still to pay £41 it all adds up. Its my DS birthday next week as well looks like I will be baking his cake and jam sandwiches all round for party tea.:(

Aw Candypop, must have been a real shock finding out you've less than you thought!

On a positive note it appears Crap One got it wrong (why am I not surprised:mad: they seem to be a law unto themselves and make things up as they go along) ......so you haven't got a default for 12 years but 6!! :j

I should be okay I'm just worrying about having enough in my new account withnot having an overdraft anymore. Trust me to make a mess of moving DD's. Lets hope all the defaults come at once so they are removed in 6 years time together.:)

    Afternoon

Is it me or are well ALL with Cap One? They've got quiet on me, although I've still got the send their CCCS/3rd Party authorisation letter.

Just a quick question both Next & MBNA have accepted DMP with Next stating in letter that it starts in April (which is correct) but MBNA haven't said a date so is it worth me sending another token payment along with letter to say full payments start in April...do you think they'll be ok with this?

Hope you're all ok...Monday is nearly over :j

DMP starts May. Hubby & I received letters from Halifax. Rang & offered token payments. No probs & interest frozen from today. Hubby also received letter from Crap 1(very fitting nickname!). V different story. Not happy with £5 TP, interest & charges will continue. Got others to look forward to now! Hey ho...:)
