Welcome Nanny25k,
You have made the right decision and joined a very lively thread! Lots of laughter, support and a pc to cry on!
Support on here is guranteed. I know the feeling of the money in the purse and in the new bank account. Hopefully you will be able to save a few pennies to get over to Germany to your family. Do you have Skype to keep in contact with them? This is my life saver. I can see my mum and she can see my little one.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday.Live for Today, Nobody is guaranteed Tomorrow:happylove0 -
Wowsers! 3 days after receiving confirmation of dmp from cccs, i gets home today at lunch to find a letter from capital one accepting! Let's hope all the others follow suit, so thats good news!
All dds have now finished from the old account and are set up from the new one so I can draw a line under natwest now and treat them as a debt only, which is odd considering i have banked with them all my life since i was 16!
still a bit worried about Halifax cc as my new a/c is with TSB who I think are connected to Halifax BOS. Oh well, lets wait and see what happens, I want to try and have a good weekend as our son is 11 on sunday and I dont want anything to spoil the family party we are having!
Have a great weekend folks¬:beer:0 -
afternoon
been to Aldi, secured the whackos (both varieties) and never killed any bunnies:rotfl:
ventured into Farmfoods (1st time) and there were lots of bargains, nearly got killed in the rush, so obviously am the last person on the planet to realise that they are quite good??? Nice chicken and scampi, good prices.
would have driven by before
welcome newbies, we are all a little unhinged on this thread, but in the nicest possible way.
Cap 1 statementd arrived when I was out, mine is perfect, no interest, no charges, nice wee payment from CCCS. OH's is a disaster, he owes half what I owe, they are charging him everything, interest, late payment, no payment, idiot payment. I heard him doing the "I am trying not to curse and swear and completely lose it" voice as I arrived, still going round in circles with regards to the signature, they don't speak good Englaish, we've got Scottish accents, its a complete waste of time and not great for the blood pressure. Going to speak to CCCS and ask what now??

Hello! Been hiding away for a few days 9 pages!!! Busy busy people, lots of :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: good news and new peeps :wave:Hello!
Started new avenue of stress, seen as we are dealing with our dmp and quite accepting of whatever happens along this road, realised that the stress did go through earlier might be having a physical affect on me...then as I tend to managed to blow it all up in my mind to gigantic proportions....anyway been to docs and she thinks its stress (but do another home preg test in a couple of weeks just incase:eek: is that enough info without TMI for the prof)!!!!
Good news whackos now been purchased, mmmmm yummmmm, ds2 saw a new aldi and said mmmm biccies after he'd munched his way through one whilst in the trolley(!) the previous day. 3 bunnies also liberated, with no harm caused!
3 of dd's dresses on ebay, mad number of watchers and good prices with one day to go - :jmini boden stuff - will get enough for dd's summer school dresses.
Sorry a bit of a me post! Have a fab weekend! Got 50mins to go before can check if ds accepted into the school his sis goes to!!!!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -

Me and hubby have had about 4 years of panicking about our debt (70k now). We've done the consolidation loans and credit cards and it all just spiralled. We kept thinking we could sort it/something would come up/miracles happen! We finally had a light bulb moment about a year ago and started to really knuckle down...no nights out/shopped around for cheaper everything. It was too late. So...registered on here and read lots of threads. Lots of positive entries about CCCS so gave them a call yesterday. Lovely lady listened, advised and took all of our details. A counsellor is ringing on Monday with a view to starting a DMP. It will be a long, long road but we both feel like weights have been lifted and there is light at the end of the tunnel. These forums are ace!Debt = HUGE! LBM March 2010:idea:DMP starting May 2010:jWe are now proud to be dealing with our debt!!0
