Thank you sooo much for your replys, been for a walk in the rain trying to clear my head. Will take all your advise and try and sort through the paper work over the weekend and PRESS THE BUTTON. It really had helped me just knowing i can talk to you. Do you think i could delay the 1st payment until May this may sound like i am mad but my daughter is 21 soon and would like to buy her a small pressy. My son also comes home from his tour of Afghan (god willing and i pray for him every day) at the end of April so would throw a small party for him. Or is this out of the question. Feel bad spending any money when we are so much in debt. Thank you all once again.:)

Hi Bailey ours starts on the 1/4 they give you a month to get everything set up and transferred over to the new account, I'm sure they'd be fine with the 1/5

You will feel better when you start doing something, honestly and you're half way there, facing up to it and knowing you've to do something. We haven't the trucall but did manage to screen some calls with caller id. Before we'd pressed the cccs button, we sent out token payments, and a letter saying we were seeking the help of cccs for our financial difficulties(rubbish phrase I know, it was a template from this site, and requested 30 days with no contact. Although we had to say this on the phone to most of our creditors most of them backed off for that time.
CCCS have been fab, the fact that they are so matter of fact and non-judgemental helped me to be the same, these are the numbers and thats that!
You'll read it time and time again, they can't have what you haven't got!
We'll be with you virtually when you open those envelopes and fill in the cccs form - remember it's only money.

Just transferred most of my DD's over including the biggies (mortgage/contents ins) only 4 to go and they will go over just after they go out of my current account on the 15th/16th.
It's moved on very quick this week so hoping for a nice relaxing weekend as last weekend i just worried about everything going through on time. I now await a barrage of phonecalls!:D

ds got into the school- local village one but only a small intake, if you apply online you can check if you have been offered the place on 8pm of the day the acceptance letters are sent out!

Welcome Bailey, do the debt remedy at least, cos you don't really need to give your name until your actually applying, then you can discuss your options with your other half. I wish we'd known about this sooner, I wouldn't have such a huge pile of debt to get rid of if I had done.
Well done all the DD sorters, we'll all be debtfree and have nothing to talk about before we know where we are!
Mama there is no 6 nations this weekend, just ordinary club rugby, DS and OH have just popped off, I can't be bothered this weekend, just feel like being on sofa.
Re Truecall, so far I've only actually had 4 phonecalls from creditors and 20 out of 22 have accepted. So I don't know if would spend the money before I know that I'd need it iyswim?? No idea what I did there to change font?
Have a good Saturday and here's hoping for a wee lottery win, not a lot a couple of million would sort us...........

I think OH and I are coming round to the idea that we need to do a DMP. OH gave up his job in dec to look after me (mucho needed unfortuantely) and we are just about keeping our head above water. We have managed to keep uptodate with our repayments so far (thanks to MSE) but I know this won't last forever as our budget is soooooo tight.

I looked on CCCS and they recommended a DMP but was thinking I'd go it alone? Anyone else done this or do you think I should just take the free help? Im a bit of a control freak now that LBM has been well and truely had! Do you have to include everything or can you exclude certain debts? Stupid I know but one of our cc my SIL used and she pays this so could I leave this out?

Pleased I've got the courage to post this anyway!

Hi - went to aldi this morning didnt get any wackos but decided instead on jive:) Got home and postie had been with my CCCS welcome pack - that was quick I only posted it back on Wed. Paniced a bit as I still havent sent my token payments but letter states they have written to my creditors so guess where I will be first thing monday morning yup post office.
