Hi - went to aldi this morning didnt get any wackos but decided instead on jive:) Got home and postie had been with my CCCS welcome pack - that was quick I only posted it back on Wed. Paniced a bit as I still havent sent my token payments but letter states they have written to my creditors so guess where I will be first thing monday morning yup post office.
Yey Candypop,
OOh i like Jive bars!. Thats good news CCCS pack arrived. Once those token payments go out you can breathe for a little bit. It probably feels like its all getting real now, but keep going.

Thanks Im just writing out notification of dmp to creditors. Really dont know what to put in the reason box. Cant really put 'cause I'm stupid' any advice0 -

I discussed this with the CCCS. It does not have to be a detailed explanation. Just something like:
reduction in income/loss of income
increased living costs
ill health
In my case, all were applicable, so i wote them all.
Can anyone advise? My overdraft limit is £350 and im OVER it by £106. Therefore im over the agreed limit. Normally this would not be a worry as my wages would get paid in and put me back in credit. However my wages are being re-directed to a new acount as the £350 overdraft is to be included iN the DMP.
Do i find the money to pay back the £106 and bring the account back within the agreed overdraft limit, just leaving the £350 AGREED overdraft outstanding and added to the DMP.
OR would that be deemed "unfair" to my other creditors?

Hi Cameron,
Thats a bit of a toughy re the Overdraft. I guess it depends how they're charging you for being £106 OD. If they stop the charges interest on it then you can add the extra in. If they don't freeze it straight away you might not see that debt reduce and it'll prob increase for a bit.
I wouldn't worry too much about being fair to other creditors as its early days yet. i thinks its more if you decided to pay one more than other for a period of time.
Hope that is of some help,0 -
I see we have grown more members, welcome.
I cannot believe how impressed I am that my new Co-op card managed to buy two things online recently. New slippers from Amazon and more impressed, baseball tickets from an American site. Good news that unlike the old Barclaycard money spent from it is "real".
Re creditors and treating them the same. I agree about this early stage. Because my loans are paid by DD they have had the full amount this month but the hard copy statement CCs have received token payments. I almost paid off the John Lewis one since it was for £200 but decided to send a token and see what happens acceptance wise.
I think we all feel better when we pluck up courage and push that button. Reading this thread certainly helps:)Paddle No 21 :wave:0 -
despite my asking Crap One to remove my phone numbers they have written that they will continue to call.
Curious, since obviously PP have only just contacted my creditors I have these delights to come. What do the phonecalls and letters consisit of? I've seen some sample letters on the PP site and was gently reassured with their attitude about not worrying about them and contacting my case officer and not forgetting to "include my barcode". Reminds me of "The Prisoner" phrase "I'm a name not a number". Modern day "I'm now a barcode" :rotfl:Paddle No 21 :wave:0 -
morning All:j
oooh Gibbs, we people at CCCS don't get a barcode, do you have to wear it on your forehead??:rotfl: We could perhaps just run you through the checkout at Aldi, therefore not needing to do the trolley dance/bunny killing thing?:rotfl::rotfl:
Seriously, what do you do with the barcode?
Cameron, To give yourself less stress IF you've got the money to bring that overdraft under the limit, I would. Cos if you don't they'll just add loads of charges and the total will go up, giving you stressful times. But if you can't raise it, leave it and let them charge. I had a wee tiny balance on an old Barclaycard of £102 and I paid it off before we entered the DMP. just to get rid and be one less card to pay off..
Ted, good news about May 1st, May day has got to be a good day to start, beginning of summer and all that.:):)
Ted re Crap One, have you sent that letter asking them not to call? I think I saw one on here as a followup, saying basically if they don't stop you'll complain to the OFT;)
Having a quiet Sunday and trying to have a NSD, its definitely more difficult this month for some reasonMore than Two Years in

Barcode just goes back with any correspondence to PP. Probably makes it easy for them to keep a check on things when filing.
While your running me through the Aldi checkout is there anything you want me to pick up:EasterBun:easter_ba
