That piece was another prime example of media bias coming out of the BBC.
I am not paying my TV licence anymore.
Its just a marketing subsidy for Labour.
It's like 1984 returning for real or something.0 -

I fully expect the bias of the BBC will soon change when its bosses change in a few months.0

I think you maybe jumping the gun as there seems to be a very large number of people who are convinced the BBC are impartial.

I do wonder about this. The One Show recently ran a very, shall we say, partisan piece about "Toffs in Politics" presented by Scottish Hag Kaye Adams. As a piece of journalism it just appeared to be nothing more than a dig at the Tories on behalf of Labour. Labour have their own toffs which got no mention.
The beeb issued a mealy mouthed apology of sorts for it. More to come I think."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."
"I could play all day in my Green Cathedral".
"The Centuries that divide me shall be undone."
"A dream? Really, Doctor. You'll be consulting the entrails of a sheep next. "0 -
To all the people who think the BBC is a Labour conspiracy, I could point you to places where socialists are !!!!!ing to each other about you the print media and parts of the BBC (Radio 5 live, Newsnight) are biased against them.
You can't imagine how ridiculous you all sound.
The BBC (and much of the the quality print media) are one of the few area were the UK is genuinely world class.US housing: it's not a bubble

Kennyboy you just don't see the bias because it chimes with your personal world view.
Did you see the episode of the One Show in question?
I have no problem whatsoever with the BBC having a liberal left bias. I just have a problem with being forced to pay for it (a) and the fact that the BBC insists that it's impartial (b).
People who buy the Daily Mail know what they're getting but many people think that the BBC is the only truly impartial news outlet. That is quite wrong. If the tories had been as incompetent and mendacious as this lot the BBC would have been all over them. We would have had an election by now and the government would have gone down in a landslide defeat.
As it is we might still get a hung parliament and if we do the BBC will have a lot to do with it. Not for nothing the champagne bottles littering the corridors of the BBC in 1997.0 -

Sorry Kennyboy.
You my friend are well & truely mistaken. Not Again0 -
I love the idea that the BBC is a massive propaganda machine, when the simple theory would be that it's an organisation full of pretty normal people producing news for people in a way they think is interesting and entertaining.
It always seems to have a slightly leftish feel to it, but I imagine that's because a public sector media company tends to attract your typical media studies graduate, Gaurdian reading, trendy glasses type, rather than some massive government conspiracy.0
