    X-Mas
Not very important but thought you might like to know that X-Mas winds me up. It is actually Xmas. It is not a Simon Cowell version of Christmas.

    Carry on.

If they believe the next set of figures will be negative (which I believe they do) they will call the election prior to the release.

A few pieces of misinformation about May & it cuts down Tory & Lib Dem spending their money on marketing in the run up to March.

As these figures are "positive" on unemployment (although employment dropped by 27k & 99k moved to part-time from full-time employment - good piece of marketing that one) & the economy (massive 0.1% increase including X-Mas) Labour would be stupid not to go into the election on positives & with the help of the media.

After all Gordon did get us through it....... ;)

It will be early unless something major happens..

I bow to your superior knowledge. I am not actually being sarcastic for once. You could well be right.

I just think people being people, he will hang on as long as he can.

He knows he is pretty much fu cked. He may be deluded but he isn't stupid.

I just think although they all probably believe they are finished they will try & win.

i don't think it really matters that we're out of recession or not.

to the man on the street what does -0.3% last quarter to +0.1% really mean - the best thing that could have happened to the current government is to have stayed in recession. a difference of 0.4%... big deal :j

I think that ITV was full of the lefty lot as well, remember that spitting image

*Margaret Thatcher and her Cabinet are in a restaurant. After Thatcher proclaims "Steak, I'll have the steak", the waitress asks: "How would madam like it?", "Raw!", Thatcher growls. "And what about the vegetables?", to which Thatcher responds in a bellow: "They'll have the same as me!"

*Margaret Thatcher walks into a hairdresser's. She sits down in the chair and says to the hairdresser: "Just cut it in a style that will be universally popular." The man replies, "Yes madam", and decapitates Thatcher with a bit of hairdressing equipment.
    :rotfl:

I don't know why they don't replay them, just as relevant now.

'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher

    Do you really believe that?

In or out. That is all that matters to the man on the street.

For this Government all that matters is that they have paved the way out.

I was chatting to the caretaker of my Village Hall this morning and he told me the Hall has been provisionally booked for March 25th or May 20th by the 'powers that be'

Interesting that the caretaker has been given "inside information" to reserve a booking for the hall - but does it really matter??

    :eek::eek::eek:

Do the public really give a toss??:o

You could start a poll yourself on this forum, don't ask me how but I'll tell you I won't be voting Labour Nor Tory Nor Lib Dem, Nor Greens, Nor BNP, Nor

    ANY OTHER PARTY

I'll be demanding a revolution to this sham of a decromacy.:cool::cool::cool::cool:
But won't expect anything other than the norm from voters.
