I don't really like either of the main parties, so I'll vote for some nazis.

Never really understood this argument. It's a bit like not really fancying either chicken or beef for dinner and deciding to force a blunt object up your anus instead.

Gordon could yet surprise us all with a quick election to avoid anyone seeing the next quarter figures that will show GDP as negative and spoil his recovery story - even before the April tax rises come in.

I was chatting to the caretaker of my Village Hall this morning and he told me the Hall has been provisionally booked for March 25th or May 20th by the 'powers that be'

I have served as an election officer in the past (hey, the extra cash is handy) and yesterday I received a letter from my local council asking me if I wanted to do it again.

Contacted them today and both these dates were mentioned.

    My money is on May.......

Er, excuse me, that would involve 'our' PM making a decision - he doesn't like doing that! He will go right to the end and will have to be dragged kicking and screaming from No10.

Gordon knows he is a gonner. He will hang on until the last possible moment.

What's the chances of a coup within NuLabour before the election? Although I doubt anything could save them.

If they believe the next set of figures will be negative (which I believe they do) they will call the election prior to the release.

A few pieces of misinformation about May & it cuts down Tory & Lib Dem spending their money on marketing in the run up to March.

As these figures are "positive" on unemployment (although employment dropped by 27k & 99k moved to part-time from full-time employment - good piece of marketing that one) & the economy (massive 0.1% increase including X-Mas) Labour would be stupid not to go into the election on positives & with the help of the media.

After all Gordon did get us through it....... ;)

It will be early unless something major happens..
