Very WET car
i dont know if anyone else has had any problems with this in the past, but my car is extremely wet on the inside!! it has been for a good while now!! during the big freeze i had to de-ice the INSIDE of my windows!
there is a huge amount of condensation that is on my windows every time i get in the car, i can get it cleared then leave the windows open for a short time, but in the cold weather it seems to have no effect!!
to make matters worse, when the freeze was on, one of my doors was a bit frozen shut, but not too bad as i was able to pull it open, but the rubber seal round the door froze to door and pulled off the body of the car!! this doesnt help when i am trying to keep my car dry!!
does anyone know how to dry my car out and also where to get a new seal for the door and how to get it fitted etc or can i just super glue or sticky pad it back on?
the car is a 2000 ford mondeo.

Get the new seal from a Ford dealer.
As for drying it out, keep the recirculate button off, the heat on, and the windows open.0 -

Keeping the A/C on at all times is a good idea this time of year too.0 -
Sounds a bit mad having air conditioning on in winter but it also dehumidifies so will help.
My wife has problems with wet in her car, short trips in the rain / snow then putting wet pushchair in the car where it stays all night :rolleyes:0 -
Yes I am in the same position, ice inside the windows, lovely.
Bring on summer............Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -

Funnily enough, my OH was asking me that yesterday - probably never is the answer so that's another little job for him at the weekend

i will also have a look into the pollen filter in my car, as its ten years old i have a feeling it hasnt been changed either!! i like the idea of running a heater in the car, i may bring it round the back of the house and give that a go, we have a heater in the house that seems to dry everything out including my eyes!!!0

I am just drying the mats of our car just now. Lot of snow carried into the car in those bad days.
So dry the mats, try reattaching the seal (if possible, but probably knackered) leave car doors open on a dry day and do as others have suggested.
If all that doesn't help you might have a bigger leak but try and get to spring and hopefully all will be OK.0 -
A squirt round of WD40 before you shut the doors for the night will stop the door seals freezing. I had more ice in my car than outside every night during the freeze and it is REALLY hard to shift because of the curve of the windscreen.0
