Even though I am not directly doing the NSD challenge I am still counting my NSD days until I go on holiday. So far I have 3.

Still painting the living room. Now have one wall to do, quarter of the ceiling and the skirting. Hopefully will finish this by Saturday.

This year we have redecorated the bedroom, the study and the living room. Don't think we will do anymore decorating this year, actually we may do our ensuite as the flooring is carpet and this needs to be changed.

Today has been another NSD so up to 4 now. Had a moneysaving day today, parents came round with food, so have had that for dinner and had some whoopsies that we bought yesterday so had that for lunch and have some left for tomorrow too. Managed to do mostof the things on the list yesterday, need to change money tomorrow and finish packing.

Good news today, got a letter from Scalifax about my fixed rate coming to an end. Next month my mortgage payments will go down to £1091.23 and the interest rate will be 3.5%, more than half my current rate. It was funny that they said that I don't need to take any action to change the monthly payment. Haha, I will be phoning them tomorrow to change it so that I am overpaying. Am going to pay what I am paying already so that I overpay £808.77 each month for now. This would mean that I would reach and exceed my OP target in October. Yay!

Bought my home insurance today and it was £85 less than last year so I'm a bit ahead of my monthly savings which is always good.

Got to buy some curtain poles for the living room and birthday presents for my mum. Tomorrow getting the boiler serviced and the light fixtures changed in the living room and lounge. Would be good if I could do these jobs myself but then I may end up in the hospital, there are some jobs even I can't do.
