Finally statement came through and now the mortgage is
£229,500.87 - on the base rate now so should be going down more each month. Plus have upped the payment from 1880 to 1900

Mmm prawns!! I've been off this week and have been a very sociable hostess. Unfortunately this includes 3 indian takeaways, with prawn balti being top of the menu  Salad and dust for me this week
I too am praying for a good November before the financial downfall that is the fun of Christmas!!!One step at a time0 -

- NSDs Didn’t do the challenge for October and November.
Decemeber I will try for 18 days.
In my absence we have fixed our walls and have got railings put up which is why November financially was a bit of a tough month. Home improvements always cost more than you expect.

End of year review of targets and challenges
1) Pay back natwest overdraft by £2000 by end of the year.
This was unrealistic but am glad it has been reduced down to
£1650.40
2) Reduce debt to £5000 .
Its now £5861.61 so fell short of 861.61. Went on two holidays abroad this year plus did more to the house than planned to so don’t think I have done too badly.
3) Reduce debt free date to march 2013 currently september 2013.
This is now May 2013 which is 2 months more than I wanted.
4) OP £2011 from the mortgage.
This has been achieved and I changed the target and managed to pay even more. £3867 overpaid this year. Yay.
5) Reduce santander overdraft by £500 to £900 by the end of December. Its still £1000 so have reduced my other overdraft so its less by £100. Have achieved
6) Try to cook something different each week, TARGET - 26/52.
17/52 will continue this next year.
7) Try to exercise for 20 mins at least 3 times a week, TARGET - 26/52.
A pathetic 3/52. I will do better next year.
8) Continue not buying toiletries unless I NEED them.
3 purchases, 1 more than last year.
9) Try not to get too stressed about work.
This did not happen.
10) Reduce moaning. Appreciate life, family and friends more. Go on a date with the OH at least every 2 weeks.
I have been appreciating everyone more and have enjoyed little things in life much more. The dates are not strictly every 2 weeks but they have made sure that we have special time together.
