Hi Elantan, hope you're doing okay! Good luck with the job hunting.
What you were saying about using your visa card definitely rang a bell with me. We've got an offset mortgage, so the sensible thing to do would be to put all of our grocery shopping/petrol etc for the month onto the credit card, and leave the money for it sitting in our account, so that we are offsetting as much as possible, for as much of the month as possible, then pay it off by the due date so we don't pay any interest on the card.
But do we do this? Nope - I'm too scared of running up a balance on the visa card and then having to use the money in our account for something else. I know it should be just a case of being disciplined, and refusing to use the money for something else......but I just can't get my head around doing it. Maybe I should give it a try and see how it goes for a month."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Hiya!
Quidco your flights to London Heathrow is the best you can get the tube anywhere in London from there too, stansted and Luton you have a bit of a journey to the centre and it can be pricey!
My kitchen is in the process of getting installed so happy

Thanks rich - she's not kicking TOO hard today (just a lot of wriggling), but has kept me up all night with stomach cramp and backache - nearly gave in and packed a hospital bag at one point
Oooh, are you having a new kitchen? How exciting, I'd love to replace ours!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Hey El - so you're coming to London? Top tip is to make sure you get an ostercard each and charge it up with some pre pay money. It will enable you to travel all over using tubes, buses, trams and DLR wihtout having to buy a ticket each time. Also, all the journeys are cheaper with an oystercard than with paper tickets. You can buy them online as well so you don't have to faff around when you get to the airport.
Also, you can get discounts on loads of London attractions with an oystercard (e.g. two for one on the London eye) so it's definitely worth getting.

That's good news about the lawnmower elantan, at least you wont have to spend your hard earned money on one!
I tried to mow our lawn earlier but hubby caught me and wouldn't let me do it. Hoped he would do it for me, but no , he's going to do it 'later in the week'......which could be any time before Xmas!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
