Hi el, sorry to read that you are now having probs with the accident - I know how you feel, the car that hit me is saying that I pulled out of the side road at speed and hit him - even though I was actually stationary, and even after the crash, I was still behind the give way lines at the junction and even took a photo as proof!!!

some people will try anything when they think that they can either avoid getting into trouble, paying out, or if they think they can make a buck or two. Seems you and I have been dealt crappuns on this front!

I hope you are able to make some quick progress with this one. Thankfully I had a photo and also the police attended so the idiot who is trying to make out I came out at speed doesn't have a leg to stand on.

well there are no cctv cameras on that stretch of road at all probably the only road in the full of the u.k with no cameras but there you go ..next is the dvla route

Hi El,

There are some people that will try anything to get out of an insurance claim, but the joy is that you know you were in the right! With a description of the other driver - jot down what you can remember, even if it's very vague (a bit taller than me, darkish hair, 20s) should be all that can be reasonably expected after 3 months. Perhaps look back in your diary to see if you mentioned anything on here?

Did you report the accident to the police at all? Just thinking that if you reported it the following day for example there's no way you could have got details from the DVLA in time!

cheers storm ...i didnt report it to the police but i did report it within and hour to the insurance company so they will have logged it so he will have to be accusing both the insurance company and me of lying i'm thinking (well more hoping really)

He's just going to trip himself up then! If your insurance co will confirm the date & time you reported the accident then there's no way you'd have been able to get the info from anyone apart from him! People like this just make me :mad: - do they really think we're fools?

this car accident is just turning into a total nightmare ...have phoned the broker to find out if they have any notes they have a note of me reporting it on the date but not the name address i gave etc as they dont take them i then contacted the insurance company they dont have a note of anyone phoning me yesterday they say they wouldnt phone they would write and dont know what i am talking about but maybe it's the legal representative that wrote to me and they didnt know who so i have to phone the broker back so i did and their phones arnt working now got through to another branch and they can help me as my details are kept at the branch with the phones not working ....god this is soo frustrating right now .....

I only took a photo because I called OH to tell him what had happened and he said "take a photo on your phone before you do anything else" I wouldn't have thought about it otherwise!

Or maybe one of his friends phoned up on his behalf - trying it on.
