Apparently it is a false caller id, and is a survey group. I shouldn't worry about it if I were you.The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

I'd go with the above post, I've also had similar, but it was about 10 zeros, I thought the automated voice had a stammer.Move along, nothing to see.0

I had this call a few times. An indian gentleman answered and said he was from the "Lifestyle Marketing Company" and asked if I could answer a few questions that would take only one minute. I politely refused and hung up. The caller asked for my wife by name which is a bity worrying. :mad:0

These people tried to phone yesterday but the kids got it so they hung up. Tonight they phoned and he tried to ask them where the "lifestyle research company" were based...after asking them several times they eventually said they were based in South East Asia. Thoughtfully (?) my husband decided to get me to speak to them so passed the phone to me.
I asked them where they got my details and all he would say is that I must have entered a competition or done a survey in the past 6 months, which I haven't. He told me my full postcode and correct home address which I wouldn't confirm. He knew my surname and then asked me how to pronounce my first name (I would expect that for my surname but not my first name). I told him I wasn't telling him my name so he wasn't happy and asked for an initial which I refused to give him. He said how can I address you properly when I have to ask you these market research questions? I told him he could continue to call me mam, like he had been doing, then it went quiet so I thought he had hung up. I then grumped to my hubby that the guy hung up and he came back on the line telling me he needed my initial, then I started getting annoyed asking him how he got my number and told him I was on TPS. He raised his voice to me and said "you should have told me you were on TPS" to which I replied "I shouldn't have to as if you are on TPS I shouldn't get calls like this!" ( not true I know) so then he hung up properly.
Calls like this from abroad should be banned somehow, TPS is pointless and do nothing if you complain anyway.
I'm buying a whistle to blow down the phone to these people.0 -

Just had the fourth call. 1st dropped by them after 3 rings. 2nd hubby answered and they asked for Mrs. ****** 3rd dropped by them. As I answered it Freddy of Lifestyle something got only that far...
I interrupted to give him assertive short shrift about you should not call this number as we don't accept unsolicited calls and that this is the fourth call, that you are all over UK sites, and you should not call again. I told him to go away, otherwise the next thing I would do would be to blow a whistle down the phone...He was perfectly spoken without an accent, said I would not receive further calls and wished me a great evening.... Lets hope that's it.
So - be assertive, demand to know how they got your number, and demand no more calls.
And yes, thanks to previous posting I had a whistle ready!!
Thanks everyone, as the calls last night were late by our standards...
This is a copy of the post I put on the linked Whocallsme, which was also helpful on this particular number's antics. So hope this helps all round...

I had this number phone me on Friday but ignored it.
Had another call today from another weird number: 6468451883 only 10 digits opposed to usual 11 for UK.
Answered it and it was this Lifestyle Resarch Company. Asian lady asked if I was the owner of the phoneline, to which I said yes, and then she started off on her spiel, so I just said "thankyou, goodbye"
I'm getting bombarded by these annoying calls lately, thinking of changing my number, but then whats the point when you buy things they always demand your number and it appears they then sell it on.0 -
I have had calls over the last year from this Indian call centre calling itself both the Lifestyle Research Centre and Consumer Research Centre (its obviously the same place as they always say hey are working on behalf of many large UK FTSE companies etc if you ask who they represent). When they called me as the Consumer Research Centre last year I played along for a while to try to find out who they were (as they had then completely withheld their number). But after I got fed and asked insistently to speak to a supervisor they cut me off but still sold my data to a number of will writing companies and three foot in the door high pressure burglar alarm selling companies (they ring up pretending they have a free alarm they want you to be a test site for and asking if they can call round in 15 minutes whilst carelessly not mentioning the £1,000 per year monitoring fee contract for five years or their salesmen not being prepared to leave your home for two hours while he tries to brow beat you in to buying) who I later received sales calls from. They also throw in some questions about whether you are interest giving to Guide Dogs for The Blind or the RSPB to try and make their so called "research" appear legitimate, even though both those bodies assure me they have no connection with this call centre.
Now they are trying to fake a UK CLI except that being not very bright conmen they have hit on the area code 0646 followed by a 7 digit number. Pretty dumb given that 06 is not in use for any area codes at all in the UK and that most non large city centre UK area codes only have 6 digits after the area code.
