Used Qflicks for about 6 months, good selection reasonably fast service but lots of faulty discs. Usually visibly scratched. Sometimes they sent the same faulty disc to me as a replacement. I know because I put a tiny mark on the label side to check!
Have now been using Tesco for a similar time and I cannot fault them. Very fast turnaround even at holiday periods. Not 1 faulty disc so far. Excellant service. excellant price. Try them.Sometimes you're the statue, sometimes you're the pigeon.0 -
With these DVD rental services by post, what happens if you order a DVD and it doesn't turn up? What happens if you send it back and they say they never received it?
Do you get blamed or is the assumption that the post is at fault?0 -

I have mislaid a disk at home and when I contacted Lovefilm telling them I sent it they appologised said they must have received it and promptly sent my next choice out. (When I locate the disk it will be delivered back so they will simply assume royal mail lost it). For our 15quid with Lovefilm we can hire 3 films at a time, and by spacing these out generally 1 film arrives each day, although Mondays they are busy so if you send back Saturday they do not receive until Tuesday, I am pretty sure I am getting 20 - 30 films a month. Only once in 6 months has it taken about 4 days for a film to turn up at LoveFilm, so I would put this down to royal mail.
The great thing with Lovefilm is if you recommend a friend you both get a FREE months membership. If you haven't got anyone to recommend you then let me knowI could sure do with some more free months.
I say what I like, I like what I say!0 -

Here's some more tips we've managed to blag on the ol' DVD Rent Tarting....
1. Global E-Rental let my hubby have 3 x 1 months' free trials, simply by him changing his credit card details every time he signed up...they *may* have cottoned on to this, but maybe only in his case...?
2. Hubby has had a free month from LoveFilm, and has signed up - BUT, I'm currently using the free trial run by lastminute.com...which is run by LoveFilm, so they don't penalise us for that!
3. DVDs365 is great, I'm having no problems with them at all....except that I sometimes only get one DVD at a time...but the others come on subsequent days, even though I send all three back at once...
4. I wouldn't bother with Tesco, you can only get 6 DVD's PER MONTH! What use is that? They're not the cheapest, either!
5. We got the £5 voucher no problem from CD-Wow, and coupled with 2 x 50p vouchers I got at Christmas from ordering DVD's from them (gifts of course!) we got a DVD for not much more than £3.50 and it lets you add all the offers at once...which is nice!
I wouldn't worry too much at the moment about not getting the DVD's that are at the top of your list...they can only send them if nobody else is renting them, so they just have to send you what's available! After all, if we're all at it, all the films will be out to rent all over the country at once!
And there you ave it from two long-standing DVD tarts!
Hope you have as much success with it as us!0 -
So far ive used 10 of them. The best for me was Blockbuster and the worst MSN. Yes you have to watch out cos some are run via someonelse, and its useually based on your delivery address so dont think you can just use a differant email address. Watch out also cos some ask you to cancel AND return all disks within 14 days, so you only actually get about a weeks worth of disks. Some, like Blockbuster, allow you time to return all the disks AFTER the cancellation date. My only problem now is that im running out of films to watch!0

I Tried The Offer From The Above Mentioned.had Problems With 3 Out Of 6dvds.cancelled Offer Before 30 Days Had Expired, but I Was Still Billed £12.99. This Was Because They Sent Out A Seventh Dvd After I Had Asked Them To Unsubscribe Me From The Trial.the Overall Dvd Quality Was Poor,so Beware!!!0
