Hello

Just spotted this on HUKD thanks to panddda - please read through his post for advice on how the deal works - offer applies to full priced items only and you may need to play around with items etc.. to get it to work - may be worth a try looks like it is a bit hit and miss but a good grabbit if you can get it to work ;)

EDIT - Hope it works - looking at the 40 comments left on HUKD website it certainly seems to - they have found when spending £12 it is still asking for card details even though the total is £0. Most posts on HUKD seem to have gone for items around £14 so they have been charged £2 - please read comments / post before buying

HUKD post:
Instructions: Wow! Got this in the post from my very good friends at Vertbaudet, and it's just far too good to be true!

£12 off your next purchase, min spend of only £12, and get FREE DELIVERY! So if you can find something for £12, you get it completely free of charge.

I just ordered some multicoloured door hooks for £14, paid £2. It seems that the code works once per account for NEW OR EXISTING customers. And there doesn't seem to be any limit on the number of accounts you can have ;)

As always, don't forget Quidco/Topcashback at 5%.

NOTE... These threads for Vertbaudet/La Redoute are always full of people saying it didn't work for them. If it doesn't, change the item in your basket. Open your basket in a different window and keep messing around with it until it does work. If it shows the Free Delivery then it IS working, it's just that you've got an excluded item in your basket. If it won't work for you as an existing customer, try registering as a new one. Sometimes an item in your basket looks as though it should be ok for discount, but actually isn't (and vice-versa) so do keep trying if it doesn't appear to work at first. And if you're going to post on here that it didn't work for you, then please let us know the items as someone might be able to help, or it might help someone else.

It might be worth being a little wary with this one - these are the codes that were given out to people who ordered the Christmas Blankets from La Redoute. If they were out of stock, people got a letter basically charging them £6 for the blankets - but giving them the option of this discount instead. So you may actually be charged £6 - or they may cancel your order or charge you full price if you weren't entitled to the code.

It may be worth just keeping an eye on what happens with your account if you use this code.
  • Thanks pugsley_h - I have tried to make the OP clear and that the HUKD thread/comments should be read / followed. It is almost too good to be true  wondering whether I should remove the thread - what is everyone's opinions ??

    Not sure?! :)

I have ordered from Verbaudet/La Redoute using these codes (recently) and sometimes have been lucky and recieved the item but more often than not they send you an email to say the item is out of stock.

They are a bit hit and miss more miss than hit recently having seen the thead on the recent christmas blankets fiasco

I have often thought about posting a thread in the past for Vertbaudet/La Redoute codes but I seem to recall there was a problem in the past posting them on MSE (not sure if this is still the case)

If anyone does try an order - most of their items in the sale under the Home collection appear to be out of stock (though they are still displaying on website) as have tried many orders recently and have got the out of stock email
  • I have a La Redoute(same company) account for about six years. I opened the account and used lots of the codes off ukhotdeals. Also La Redoute where sending me codes in emails and through the post. I have never had any problems with the codes, however for the last year I have only used codes they have sent me due to other people saying they were having orders cancelled.
So I would only order if you would be willing to pay 12 pound for the item anyway, that way if you get it free its a bonus.
    :j
  • Its worth trying tho surely!

You cannot open two accounts with vertbaudet, well you can but their system can automatically link the two accounts if they are registered to the same address, I ordered something a while back using a code for new customers only as I'm an existing customer I opened using my DH's name, DOB and email, I had problems logging in to check the order status and when I called they had moved the order onto my account and cancelled the new account. They did accept the code but the item was a toy kitchen which we were paying over £50 for so they let it go. I would be wary of using the code by opening a 2nd account as it may end up costing you the code value.

Yes - I have found it very difficult in the past to actually access my original La Redoute account or Verbaudet using my customer number! - I always end up having to re register.
As you say they just link the orders to the same account (they have always given me the discount but perhaps as you say it was because the order value was decent.
They have never overcharged me but perhaps I've just been lucky (I know some haven't been so lucky)

Maybe worth a go but I wouldn't count on getting anything delivered!
  • yes i think its worth a go.
    :j
  • I wouldn't count on receiving anything, I ordered a hooded towel for DD and delivery estimate is w/c 15/02/2010.

Can only wait and see I think.

I got this code with the xmas blanket .. well the lack of the xmas blanket.. I'd be wary using it if you didn't order the blanket in the first place. Worst case though they will add £12 to your account??
