What about 'cash in hand' at the time?
Sorry to be so blunt - it was the first question that popped into my mind when you were so meticulous about detailing your banking arrangements.
The second question which popped into my head was 'is this forum being used as a testing ground for 'the defence arguments'?
The other questions which popped into my head have already been asked by others.
No worries about being blunt. My mum has said and DH that no monies have been exchanged.
The foru is not being used as a testing ground. Originally all i wanted to know was what would happen when DH went to see a solicitor and the police? At least now we know what is likely to happen when DH gets called into the police station but once again this forum is not being used as a testing ground.
Many Thanks0 -
Dh is being arrested tomorrow at 7pm at our local station. The police have said possibly no bail straight to court tuesday. As i mentioned before thank u to everyone who replied. Thoes who see this as a hoax well its not its my family whobi love and care for!0

I hope it goes well for you both and that your mother gets everything that's coming to her. This is an awful situation and, in response to other posters, I would like to point out that hindsight is a wonderful thing. If OP/DH originally thought it was fine due to their mental health issues, they may have suddenly realised that all was not well when their cousin said that their signature had been forged on documents.
I for one have never been classed as mentally ill and I have OFTEN thought after an event "Hmm, I shouldn't have done that".
Let's hope that when it goes to court, it all comes out and only the guilty go down. Good luck with the future and please do keep everyone updated.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Sorry, came to the thread very late, but I have read all the pages, and /i think I'm clear about the situation.
Presumably DH didn't come clean prior to all this because he buried his head in the sand and hoped it would just disappear and come to nothing?
Good luck with it all, I hope he's getting good advice and taking his meds, can you try to ensure he has access to a DR before attending court/interviews, as he may need assessing to ensure he's up to it.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
Thank you both the previous posters. Dh fell asleep finaly at 6:30 this morning. Lets just wait and see. The CPS are looking to press charges against DH for fraud so i think there are long times ahed.0

Is your mother also being prosecuted?
How can she not be after she has obtained money under false pretences?
What is she going to tell the police about the forged signature?(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

I dont know if my mum is. She is going to tell them she knew nothing about it.
I do not talk to her anymore.
Dh is getting ready to go down there. We are in the other side of the country at the moment so a 2 hr drive is due soon back home.0 -

Nor me TBH. There we go though. Im not interested in her at all. OH does not know what to think at moment regarding punishment. Jail, fine, community service. We just want this to end now. We are united as a family and love each other thats all that matters.0 -
