After DH signed the form, what did the MIL do with it?

Who did she present it to? Who (if anyone) was deceived by it? Who did she INTEND to deceive? Did the form deceive anyone or was it spotted straightaway as a pretty pathetic forgery?

This is the aspect that I am not clear about and it's crucial to deciding what (if any) offences have been committed.

Can you explain what happened between the time the form was signed and the time when MIL contacted you to say that the forgery had been discovered? It would really help.

My mum sent it to her solicitors. My aunt is entitled to nothing at the moment because of what has happened that is why the police are involved.

The form was signed in 2006 but my aunt did not sign it. When it was found out that DH signed it. It was about 2 months ago that DH told me because his cousin who was the "witness" told him someone forged his signiture. It took DH a month to tell me and the police and my aunt's solicitor

Sorry if I sound as if I'm pressing you - I'm just trying to help. Let's just concentrate on your Mum for the moment.

You say that your mother sent the form to her solicitor.

What did the solicitor do with the form? In other words - what happened next?

Gawd. This one is hard going. Difficult to get all the facts. Now it seems the form was signed in 2006! I thought it was recent. Maybe the op was given some cash at the time to do the deed. I don't think we are getting the full story by any means.

Some people here seem to be very judgemental about mental health issues. .

The only relevance that mental illness has is if the person doesn't understand the difference between right and wrong. This is clearly not the case here as the OP himself has said.

I know its such a long time ago, Trust me DH has not had a penny. My mum hates him. Always has and always will do. They have never got on but both DH and my mum have put a happy face on for me and the kids.

You are getting the full story as far as me and my DH are concerned. I have no reason to lie and since DH has come clean he has not any reason to either. We have always had a joint account. No savings or any other bank accounts so i know that he has not had any money in of his accounts. We have been through bank statements together to prove he has not been telling me porkies.

What about 'cash in hand' at the time?

Sorry to be so blunt - it was the first question that popped into my mind when you were so meticulous about detailing your banking arrangements.

The second question which popped into my head was 'is this forum being used as a testing ground for 'the defence arguments'?

The other questions which popped into my head have already been asked by others.

    Thats exactly what i thought.

If this goes to couyrt the mental health will be shot down as well, as it is very apparent from the postings that the OP knew what he was doing when he did it and only confessed when it came to light he was involved.

I also think from what has been said that the OP's DW knew but by taking this route it leaves one not implicated if there were jail sentences given out .

    Just my opinion

Funny, your story doesn't quite fit with a post of 18th Jan.
to say another family member did not want any land after a family member passed away. I have only found this out tonight and i am absolutely terrified.

I only found out on the 18th of jan that this happened back in 2006 not long after my DD was born.

Give it a rest now. It was alledgedly your husband writing that.
