Thifty, I'm sorry you have felt so bad today and been sick - miserable isn't it. Try not to feel guilty; you can't help it can you! Let's hope you're back feeling better again tomorrow.

Jojo, poor you falling over - it's a real shock to the system and I tend to cry too (I'm a big baby :o)!

MissH, you've done well today! I hear what you say about the bathroom (whispers) but I really don't want to be tomorrow - DH fitted the shower and it's still a state in there - don't tell Piggers will you! Maybe she'll give me another room?:rotfl:

Had a torrid time taking DS up to get DD from school as he cried the whole way there, pulling back and saying no, carry me and then cried all the way back again. It was awful. Anyone who has had to part drag/part walk a 3 year old will know how I felt :(. Home now (obviously) and he's had a banana milkshake and raisins and is happy again.

Flying wise, I've sorted out DD's underwear drawer, finished today's list, tidied kitchen and done washing up and just picked up generally. This evening I want to do some knitting after I've attacked DH's filing a bit more - it's sort of fallen off my radar at the moment ;)

Thursday all done please Toots x

  • Wednesday and Thursday ALL DONE

Plus: enlisted in OU course Technology of music
    Brushed 3 cats
swept what looked like 5 additional cats into bin
found one newly brushed cat had gone and slept on my pillow (ewwww). Left what looked like another cat on it. Usual cry 'but I've just brushed you!' met with feline distain, and a miaow for crunchies on the offchance i forget that they only eat at 7.

Agreed to go to a themed club with a rollerdisco for a 37th birthday on Saturday. My first night out in about 7 years. And they expect me to skate!

Now, I've not got the kind of figure which allows me to wear electric blue spandex, batwing tops and legwarmers, so I'm figuring I could adopt a sort of 70s thing by wearing a smocked white top, pale blue flared jeans, a cardie/waistcoat thing and curling my rather long hair in bendy rollers so that it goes into a huge wafro (well, actually as it's dark red with a pure white streak - natural - more of a gafro, I suppose), but it might be a little too casual as the dress code says dress up in retro/dress to impress?

Any ideas how I could make it a bit 70's club glam - I went to roller discos as a kid in the late 70s, and all I remember is cans of Tizer and a lot of older kids disappearing round the back while me and my friends kept falling over?
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

All levels and extras done today. My binbag dance resulted in 7 clean but faded/stained bath sheets to go to the RSPCA and another full of clothes for the charity shop. I've earned my Thursday star please Toots.

I'm a bit under the weather today and the screen is hurting my eyes and so I have not read what everybody has been up to. However, just looking at the volume of posts tells me you've all been busy. Well done to those who have blessed thier homes and love and hugs to all who need or want one!

  • Hi poppytime, i`ve used different products in the past with bleach in for the mould and although it does look better, it`s still hard or near impossible to shift. I have a feeling that once it`s there, there may not be anything I can do about it, because of the enviroment of the bathroom, warm and damp, the spores of course love this. Since i`ve been on a bit of a mission this week with the cleaning, enough was enough. So I took the old lot out and replaced this morning with some nice shiny new stuff. What a job the new sealant is, sticky and smelly, but all done now.
