Ok back to normal now, can't believe it though thats the most I've ever lost since the very 1st week the 1st time around. I only need 1lb to get to next number and 2lb for my stone so fingers crossed.
Good luck everyone & enjoy the sunshine0 -
Thank you retiredlady and others too for all your fab posts
am subbed to this thread and i keep looking in,
i feel im beginning to understand this Extra Easy plan, in a way you can virtually mix the green and red days but only have one of each A and B choices and choose the lower syn number if you had a choice between the amount for a Green day or Red day
hope ive got it nowalso i suppose this is where ive struggled in the past,, having my italian meals that we enjoy had to either choose a particular day ie green or red day and then have to worry which food items i would have to calculate depending on my choice of day, but now i could have spaghetti and meatballs in a tomato sauce homemade and have it as Extra Easy,,,, then count still any syns appropiately????
cheers would appreciate it if ive finally understood this then i can attempt to go to class again thanks again - will still be here for your motivational tips though wont leave you :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
have a fun weekend MAZ
Thats right MAZ, sounds like you got it. I know the thing that slows my weight loss down is failing to include a third of my plate with superfree foods. I will make pasta and meatsauce but forget about adding some veg etc:( However I am working on it!

I did manage to lose 3 1/2 stone on SW a few years ago but unfortunately i managed to eat it all again!! I've got a weight loss record, and WI day is Wednesday. Going ok so far, but rather afraid I'll wimp out.... Any suggestions to keep my motivation up please?
i spent the last few years saying i couldnt afford to go to class......in reality i was spending far more than £5 a week on chocalate etc.
i dont want to sound horrible just saying it the way it was for me.
the class is so worth it,ive never stuck to anything like i have this since i went on monday.....no cheating at all.0 -

Thanks again Marion,,,,well we always have a bit of salad with our pasta, so that i could add as part of my veg bit,,,im so very excited about all this again, i honestly hadnt understood it before i thought how can you lose so much weight and its virtually what we are more or less eating, albeit a bit more portion size if im honest and all the sneaky snacks which are no good for us - now the trick for us and my family is for me to change those snacks to foods we can eat freely and are part of the syns we can eat daily
ive been on the site just now and im finding my inspiration again, so i agree, i can cut out all the snacks and chocolate excess and i hope to find the 5.00 for the class and stick at it with gusto,,,
thank you just printed off the 7 day extra easy plan for non vegitarians so will consider this now

To Snuggles I would say -see if there is a new group in your area and join it. Its cheaper than online (I think) because you can pay week by week, and in my experience, admittedly limited to two groups and three leaders, they are very variable. I was not at all happy in my first group, 2-3 yrs ago; the original leader was waiting to leave and simply putting in the hours frankly. Then the new leader came and she weighed about 7 st and was super glamorous which funnily enough didn't inspire me as she never looked as if she had had to lose more than 8 lb; also she split us into teams and I didn't like that either. Now I go to a local group, have lost nearly a stone, enjoy my evening at Slimming World, like the leader (and she has shown us "before" photos, she did have a lot to lose and confides that she still struggles which I find more inspiring) and like the other Slimming Worlders. So it might be worth a try? Either way good luck. The extra easy really IS extra easy but is easier if you have the real support I think.
Thankyou, I joined online this morning and I've already been shopping and stocked up on the right kinds of food! I know a lot of people benefit from going to the groups, but I really don't enjoy it, no matter how good the group leader is. I'm just an independent sort, and it all makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.
I'm off to cook some steak, SW chips, and a big pile of salad for dinner0 -
Hi everyone - and well done Takeiteazy :T:T:T
AM feeling v sorry for myself today - NASTY tummy bug yesterday - and still not feeling great - my body seems to be deciding whether to launch into full blown cold/sore throat - or whether to just teeter on the edge...:(
I still manage to feel hungry though:oOnward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Maybe should be quarter protein, quarter carbs and half veg/salad/fruit?0 -
The way I've sort of got my head round this EE plan is 3rd of protein e.g. chicken, fish, third carbs e.g. rice, pasta, potatoes, and 3rd of veg/salad/fruit. Is that right?

Well that should certainly speed up your weight loss! I just might give that a try next week:)

Hi,
I hope nobody minds if I join in the group?
I have done slimming world twice before and loved it, plus it really worked for me (ok not that well as the weight did go back on).
I have been doing it TO THE BOOK for a month now, not going to group though due to family commitments (but that will change from the week after next when my little boy starts preschool) and I have lost ONLY FOUR POUNDS!!!!!
I stopped smoking as well, could that be it? Has my metabolism slowed down to zilch? I just cannot understand it and would love to hear from anybody in a similar position.
Previously I was loosing between 3 and 7lbs a week and I am doing nothing differently now other than the smoking.

Hi Felicity,
I have been going to class for 4 weeks and only lost 4 and a half pounds. Feeling really disheartened about it as I've been following to the letter.
I spoke to my consultant and she thinks I may have an intolerance to carbs due to ovary problems! So she suggested just doing red days ( which are my least favourite). I managed 5 red days and 2 green last week and lost 1 1/2 pounds.
And haven't even given in to the easter eggs!
I think for me personally it's because I did Lighter life 6 years ago and that has seriously messed up my metabolism.
I'm still going to stick at it though as by hook or by crook I want this weight off eventually!
