gingerfurball wrote: »Hi everyone - not in good form today and I'm seriously rethinking the whole SW thing - now don't get me wrong I think it's a fantastic diet - really healthy if done right - my problem? I have raging PMS - this might seem odd but I haven't had PMS for years - the cure was low carbing.
I obviously have issues with sugar/insulin and the LC lifestyle completely took that raging feeling away from me.
Today I was absolutely ranting and raving, knocking things over, clumsy, close to tears and very definitely retaining water and I have come out in itchy patches on my skin(and STS on the scales double:() This has really taken me by surprise and I'm not a bit happy!
DON'T GIVE UP YET! i am in the same boat as you at the moment, i started two weeks ago, lost 2.5 lbs first week, then 0.5 lb last week and still seems to be the same weight, i am due on P this week and feel awful, but everyone tells me to keep going, the weight will come off next week.
I have been craving sweet things to eat all day, and have roasted a whole load of peppers and made a bowlful of the SW chips & egg and have ate them for lunch and feel better fr it and feel better for not dipping into the xmas chocs!!slimming world start: 17.1.10 @ 200 lb's

so where can i by this lowlow cheese from they dont have it in my tesco or sainsbury ?Asda have it for £1 at the mo. Ive seen the slices at Tesco, think they are also on a deal. Its really nice low fat cheese. I tried the WW one years ago, it wouldnt even melt on my cheese on toast and was all bitty. Lowlow is creamy and tastes lovely. Cathedral lighter is also fab, I get that when its on a deal, you can have 42g of that also.
Save 50p per 200g for the next 10 days
As per the title
MOC - 50p OFF - KERRY LOWLOW CHEESE - Valid 13/02/10
https://admin.smartfocusdigital.com/aem/clients/TMW004/pdf/21147_LowLow_Coupon_HR_0302.pdf
I believe this is just £1 for 200g in ASDA at present
And also just £1.03 in Sainsbury's - Enjoy

I went through this too!! In my third week of SW I basically felt so sad & angry pretty much the whole week! I even cried while walking around Tesco! I guessed this was my body screaming out for lovely CAKE & CHOCOLATE!! Anyway, I am on week 5 now, I have lost 11lbs and my mood swings seem to have ceased now I am used to eating nice healthy food, so just keep going!! xx0 -
Thanks guys! (I had a blip at lunchtime today - I'm just going to cast a veil over it! LOL) I've been reading the Bodyoptimising book and I'm going to give sticking to red days a go for the meantime - I really don't want to give up on it.
BTW I made the sweet chilli chicken thighs from the mag last night (no harissa powder - I substituted with a bit of chilli powder) and everyone loved it - including the kids *boggles*
I have butternut squash roasted at home and I'm going to make some soup when I go home - that'll do for lunch tomorrow as well.0 -

Gingerfurball, you might find that losing weight helps with the PMS. Apparently the fat you store round your middle is actually 'active fat' and generates oestrogen (IIRC, could be the other one) which might contribute to the unbalanced hormones that give us that raging TOTM feeling.
Red days can be low carb if that's what suits you.
I had a real treat tonight - frangipane tart which clocks in at a whopping 17 syns per 100g. I felt quite bad until I actually weighed the slice I wanted and it was only 50g - well within my limit for today - yum yum I have a happy tummy!
I still need to have a HEB - in Extra Easy can your HEB be cheese as well? I've looked at my sheets and it seems so but I didn't think that was the case before -have they changed it?Trying to keep in budget.

Hi, I did slimming world years ago, so my books are really old! Was just wondering if you can still have 2 weetabix as one of the healthy choice allowances and if so can you substitute it with 2 oatabix instead? I'm wheat intolerant now so am trying to work out what I can eat! Many thanks xxSome people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0

yes 2 weetabix are still 1 heb, you can have 28g oatibix bitesize or oatibix flakes and 1 scan bran as 1 heb.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
