Good morning guys,
Bitsy - another one here who knows what you are going through. DS1 went through a year of getting off allright but then waking and screaming the place down at the slightest thing. We couldn't even flush the loo at night as that would wake him up and he would be off. I had just had DD at the time and it was hell on legs. It does get better as they get older but you have my sympathies - hugs to you. xxx
One smallish child still here after a sleepover and house looks like a sty!! how do they do it in a couple of hours??? Roll on sanity tomorrow when they are all in school. :T:T Plans today, clean up and hoover round  tackle Mt Everest (yes I ignored it last night  and yes it's bigger again today) and entertain the kids.
Lunch will be meatballs and mash with carrots and tea will be lamb chops with all the trimmings. Nothing else much to report.
Hugs to all in need today and have a good Sunday.
Smoky. xxxx

Happy Birthday Beemuzed. :bdaycake::beer:
Sorry you are so tired Bitsy. I have no real advice other than ask for help and take it. Hope you get some sleep. :kisses3:
Welcome Kalojac :hello:
No real plans for the day. We'll have a big brunch soon as the hens are laying at a fierce rate so we have lots of eggs to use up. Only 2 out of the four are laying but they have given us 10 eggs in 6 days.
Need to do a bit of cleaning today, especially windows and I want to get the girls out in some fresh air.
Roast chicken for tea which will be turned into soup for tommorrow night.
Hopr you all have lovely days.

Sorry to hear you're having such a difficult time bitsy. I really do sympathise.
My eldest DD had awful sleep problems, sometimes going up to 48hours without any. When I look back, I wonder how I got through it all, as it was just me and the two girls.
It took a long time before she would finally sleep all night and now, at the age of 12, she loves her bedThere are times, occassionally, when she has a bit of trouble, but can sleep for England now.
I hope you can soon get your children into a routine. Sending (((HUGS))) your way
I'm feeling better than yesterday, although still not great. I've been a bit more productive though. The BM is on and the beef is in the SC, for lunch. Potatoes are peeled, ready to sort for roasting and the ironing is sitting in a neat little pile. [I'm ignoring it, mind]
I've got emails that I must send, this morning and a pile of papers that need to be sorted. I could really do with a filing cabinet. Since DDs have been out of school, I have papers everywhere. I keep all their work, in case the LEA inspector decides they want to see what's going on, but it soon mounts up. Even so, I need to sit next to the pile and the shredder, and get rid of what's not needed.
The girls want to go to the hairdressers this week, so it's going to be a hair day, getting it washed and straightened. Thankfully, they are at an age where they can wash it themselves and DD1 loves her straightners, but DD2 still needs a hand. She had lovely long hair, but decided to have it cut to her shouldersas it was easier to manage. Now it's started to grow long again, she wants it even shorter
Ah well, it's their hair
I'm going to get DDs in the kitchen later to make cheese scones and some biscuits. They quite enjoy baking and prefer stuff like this to making dinners. I miss being able to spend a day in the kitchen but do what I can, when I can.

Beemuzed :bdaycake: Happy Birthday Hoppe you have a good one xx
Squeena I have an enamel bath and use bleach on it all the time with no ill effects. Dilute it though as neat it can turn the bath a yellowy colour
Kalojac Welcome to the threadCome along and post at any time you can.
The chicken is in the oven now and the potatoes, veggies & yorkshire pud batter are all ready to go. I just have to go and get dressed now, clean the bathroom & wake the sleeping beauties :T0 -
Thanks Sunnygirl I gave the bleach treatment ago about 20 mins ago. It helped but didn't get it off entirelyWife and mother :jGrocery budget

Bitsy - hugs and sympathy here too. I promise you, it does get better.
Beemuzed - Happy Birthday
SunnyGirl - nosing at your signature you have similar commitments (DH, children, pets as me) but a much lower spend. I clearly need to re-look at our spending!
on which subject lunch today will be roast beef, some farm shop aberdeen angus that was meant to be for Christmas Day that did not get used :rotfl:. Need to think of something for pudding that does not require cream and uses less than three eggs.
I am off to re-do the feezer audit, and to check the contents of the pantry so I can go with a list tomorrow.
I tried the crochet dvd and gave up again. I think I just need to practice but I hate being rubbish at it.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Morning all,
Beautiful day here, I am about to go into the garden and start to clear some of the rubbish that has been left here ,
Got a wash on the go,I need my washing line stake putting in, but OH has got a bad back and can't bend much , which is typical for the week we move.
Got a free range chook yesterday, reduced to £2.40, so will cook that for tea time, with roasties and veg.
Bitsy, I am afraid my dd did not sleep through the night till she was 5 or 6 , I know just how you are feeling, it does pass, try and get a nap later xx
Beemused Happy Birthday Hun, have a good day xx
Ok better get onBig kiss to someone special, who is feeling down xx

Happy Birthday beemuzed :bdaycake:
Bitsy-Beans: your children love you, it’s just if dad is out at work during the week, it’s a novelty to have him around. I remember when I was little and at the weekends it was such a treat to get into bed with daddy in the mornings, and they sound a bit young to appreciate that mummy does all the hard work
Penny-Pincher: I’m so sorry to hear about your FIL. I hope that it’s quick and peaceful, that’s really all I can hope for. It must be very difficult for you to see a wonderful supportive man at the end.
Nmlc, stressedoutmum, Essex-girl, JackieO, Mumof2, Molly41, sistercas, remmie, beemuzed, candygirl, HariboJunkie: have a delightful (and restful) Sunday!
Jc2703: I’m so pleased you have your new kitchen :j
Sunnyday: I hope you can be productive on a Sunday
Hardup Hester: what is this message?! I’m really curious. I didn’t get it, is it from a username you recognise?
Sequeena: no idea about the bath, my aunt has an old enamel bath and uses an enamel cleaner for it as bleach and other things permeate the slightly porous enamel and can damage it. You can get them re-enamelled but I’m not sure how much it would cost, and not very OS!
Kalojac: I used to have huge problems with Yorkshires, even the ones that come with batter in foil that you just bung in the oven from the freezer. I’ve found the trick with toad in the hole and Yorkshires is to have the oil really really hot before you pour in the batter, whack it back in the oven and don’t open the door until it’s ready! I use this recipe, which I have found to be foolproof, as long as you follow the above rules! :A
SunnyGirl, smokeybabe: kids, eh? :rolleyes::D
Pipkin71: I was thinking about making scones too!
hex2: I have the same problem re the crochet
redruby: I really hope you settle in soon and clear all the horrible mess
meanmarie: it would be lovely to meet you, it's a shame you can't make the London meet-up
Well, I have recovered from yesterday, I had a nap at around 4.30 as I was supposed to be going back out but just couldn’t face it, then finally went to bed and had an awful night’s sleep. I think I was just over-tired. Going out today to see one of my friends (one of the Americans from yesterday), it’s a lovely day here in West London so we might go out or we might stay in as she’s got Sky. I’ve got tomorrow off as I was supposed to use it to recover from Dublin, so it’ll give me chance to do chores.
I hope everyone enjoys their Sundays.
Hugs and positive thoughts,
Take care,
Caroline xx**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D
