  • Thanks for the birthday wishes. I am off to see the Pet Shop Boys next friday!!

Had the dreaded call from the hospital, nan is very unwell I did not recognise her. She mumbled to me I am slipping away.

The doctor said we are looking at days now.

So if I'm honest not a great birthday.

Smashing Blouse, I hope you can feel the great big hug and love being sent your way. Your dealing with it so well - and there's me crying over spilt soup:o

Queenie, Twink, Moggins and tiptoes - your posts meant a lot. I won't go into it now, but thank you, big time 11_7_104v.gif

    Big hug.

When I make pea and ham soup I use the slow cooker - the ham hock practically melts and the peas do not boil over when you use the SC. Much easier and cleaner.

Kaz, you are more than welcome, you gave me such a chuckle over the trousers :D

I am now going to investigate how to make floam :) In between all the day trips and the stuff we want to try and make I don't think I'll have time for housework this holiday.

I have booked DD in for her meningitis booster on Monday, her best friend at school has been admitted to hospital today with suspected meningitis, she is only a tiny dot of 4 so any healing vibes or prayers for little Chloe would be more than welcome at the moment, it was supposed to be the party for her 5th birthday on Sunday. :(
