Not a regular poster on this thread
(although I read it every day!!
). Just wanted to say, I hope you feel better tomorrow Penny-Pincher (although I'm not sure why your thread would offend anyone?!?! - or maybe its an "in" joke that I'm unaware of...!!!
).
Fingers crossed that your DLA goes through, that its not too hot for your OH in the garden tomorrow, and that your sister in law does everything you want her to. Also, big congrats to Miss P-P for her SAT results - excellent work, Miss P-P :T :j - I hope you're rightly proud of yourself, you deserve to be, and I'm sure your mum and dad are very proud as well - those results are fantastic!!
Currently very hot here in central London... (hence, I'm still awake!), but I hope we all have a better day tomorrow... :wall:

Morning all!
Despite a night roasting in bed I seem to be quite 'refreshed'. The tip on forzen bottles and cool blocks in bed seems to be helping a lot. Last night I was even lay on one at one point!!!
What I fail to understand is how I feel more 'refreshed' this morning having had just 5 hours sleep than I ever feelIs this the 'optimum' sleeping time for me? Blimey - can you imagine if it is? Just think how cleanand tidy my house could be!!!
DS2 is off to 'Oakwood' on a school trip today - it's the theme park where that awfull accident happened a few years back. I'm trying not to think about it too much- I've let him go because I know how much he loves it there. He has been warned to check and double check all belts/bars and to create a fuss/get out if they aren't secure. OMG don't you just wish you could wrap them in cotton wool
Twink - thanks for all your advice on the bread pud yesterday. Me thinks I should've asked for advice before I went steaming on ahead reagrdless. Suffice to say I had no idea it would need so much liquid and it's going to need some custard! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Going to finish a nice long drink of iced water and then make fresh sarnies for DS from H/M bread to take (he does get free packed lunch due to my IS but, well, it's nice to take your own...) and put together some bits (welsh cakes etc) for him. Then it's watering plants, washing on line and maybe a quick bit of ironing before I take boys to school.
Hope you all have a lovely day and that you everyone finally managed to get a good nights kip last night especially piglet6, Icemaiden, charlotte664 and Penny-Pincher!!
Hope it's one of your better days at the hospital today Penny Pincher. Just think, with all those great SATS results who knows, your DD could be one of the top docs sometime in the future
Best wishes,
Kaz
PS Bargain rzl.... only two more days to go
PPS (is there such a thing??) Just read end of yesterday's post - Welcome 'back' Catzine - glad you had a great time here. Which bootsales did you go to (not enough here - always on the look out for more!) Welsh cakes are very easy to make. I'll post a recipie for you later.
Snowy - hope you find your cat just so's to put your mind at rest, but you're probably spot on with your assumption of finding a cool spot to rest!January '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far)
Someone burst my bubble and I lost the plot so no idea what I spent now...Other Jan :- Petrol £20.41, Clothes £8.50, House £3.I will try to work it out.

Morning everyone, morning Piglet - lovely to see a new face on the daily thread.
PP - I hope your hospital appointment goes OK.
I'm up with the lark, mind you have only been to bed for a couple of hours. The reason this time is that my kitty Ted legged it yesterday evening at about 8.00 pm, and I haven't seen him since. I'm telling myself he's just found himself a lovely cool spot to get some serious sleeping done. In the meantime I'm going potty wishing he'd come back. They are such a worry. I tried to make him an indoor cat but he was having none of it, he loves to be outside and will take advantage of any open door or window. In this weather keeping him in was never going to happen. Just wish he'd come back.
Think I'll go and put some togs on and have a wander outside for him. The neighbours think I am really silly but buttocks to them!

Hello everybody,
Hope all you hotties managed some sleep.Well yesterday was a nightmare so the less said about that the better. YS is in hospital with food poisoning. OS rang last night. I talked to YS last night & this morning. He's worse today and was put on a drip. He sound soooo sick. The poor old saus. He's 22. When I call tonight I'll get hold of the sister and ask her the run down. He had a pepporini pizza on Saturday and they think it was the pepporini. It was from Domino's.
DGS went back yesterday. After getting DH off to work I went back to sleep until 9amso have been a bit behind today. Having roast for tea tonight.
PP I don't understand the marking but I gater that DD has got a great result. Congratulations to her. Well done. :T
I'm just posting a piccy here of me & DGS. Not the best of pictures but hey ho, you can still see how gorgeous he is.

Morning all early risers
I'm at work, dripping already. Why oh why can't we have air-con here????
We have two fans for the entire office - stupid.
Was out in the car park the other night, and found a trolley with a pound in it. Thought I don't mind walking it back the 100 yards, so took it back and presto, a pound for my efforts!!:D
Went to Tesco last night to stock up on "bits". Chicken drumsticks were going cheap so got a couple of packs for the freezer. Was ages at the check out as the cashier had never seen luncheon vouchers before. Thankfully the lady behind me was very understanding saying "if you can save some money you go for it". Saved £6 in total on a £30 shop so not bad
Better do some work I guess
Hope everyone's ok and manages to stay coolComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
