ONESTOPPHONESHOP CASHBACK
I don't know if I'm being a bit too expectant or what but do you think it's reasonable that I sent off for my 2nd cashback with onestopphoneshop by recorded delivery which arrived with them on 8th of Dec way within my 45 day period and so far I havent recieved the cheque. I thought they were supposed to send back the cashback cheque within 10 days of reciept.
I rang on 23rd Dec just to make sure they had recieved my claim they said yes and that the cheque had definitely been sent out the day before but to allow for Christmas post it may arrive after so I said fine as long as I know everything is ok
I rang again on 4th Jan to say it still hadnt arrived and that person said it hadn't been sent out at all and it would be sent out that day and to expect it in a few days
It hadn't arrived by 10th so I rang back again and was told that it hadnt been sent out again and it wasnt going to be either for at least another 2 weeks... I don't understand why. They said it was because it was sent in over the christmas period but I think 8th Dec wasn't that near Christmas they only had to send a cheque. Also I do not see why I have to accept the fact that it wont be dealt with now till another 2 weeks, yet we lose our cashback if we are late sending it in and I doubt they make allowances on our part for christmas post. Mine have never been late though luckily
I suppose some people may just forget about it and perhaps they get away without sending out cashback claims because of this unless people phone to remind them. Its as though they have had our business and we arent as important as potential new customers. My contract will run out soon and if they had been ok I perhaps would have had another phone through them but as it goes it's put me off... Should this really take them this long? and one person mentioned it had now gone over the 45 days... but that isn't my fault it was recieved by them way within that time

I have heard various problems regarding cashback deals with this company from many people. They have not posted you the cashback, simply as that.
When your currently contract is up, I'd recommend https://www.fwdcellular.com . They are the best I have dealt with in terms of customer service and cashback deals. There are a few threads on them in here so read through.0 -

Oh dear. I order a SPV C500 on their 11 month deal the other day. It's already been dispatched and should arrive tomorrow. I ordered after reading about it on Reestit Mutton's web site.
I called them straight after reading this thread and up front asked if the would honour it. They said as long you stick with the rules. I quoted him from the link about complaints received etc. and the guy said well there are people out there that don't stick to the rules or do things properly as stated in the paper work. I asked about returns and he said there's a 14 day policy.
The phone's already been disptached and should arrive tomorrow. Send it back? I obviously want the phone (net cost of £30) but just don't want to get screwed. The only other companies I've dealt with before with cashbacks are FwdCellular and Scancom, both with much success.
What should I do?0 -
Ohit - I would suggest if you are at all uncomfortable about the terms - then send back, obviously within the 14 days (I would aim to make sure THEY get it within 14 days of original dispatch - unless it says in the T&Cs something like "items must be returned to us within 14 days of receipt").
All of these cashback deals (furniture insurance, phones etc) are the same - you just need to make sure you have a calendar - with notes on there saying "Phone cashback - 10 days and the date you need to action it" and then on the day in coloured ink - "Send cashback claim"........if you abide by the rules they can't say no.....What should I put in here that won't upset people.........0 -
I'm not uncomortable with the terms at all. I've currently got 7 contracts running along with cashback deals (FwdCellular and e2save) and can handle them fine.
It's these reports about poor customer service from OSPS which worries me. Reestit Mutton's web site is very good as well - He only tends to post bargains when he has enough information to appricate that their a good company etc.
I think I might just wait till it arrives and read the paper work carefully first.0 -
last Feb i took out a deal with osps and had a nokia 3510i free with a years free line rental via cash backs one at 4 months other at 6 months and no problems many people on here did the same. We also sold the phone and made £40 profit, lucky because the phone dropped in price shortly afterwards.
some people for various reasons missed the 45day claim period according to osps and did not receive the promised cash-back.
Be sure to keep photo copy of all cash back vouchers and get proof of postings or even register the claim which ever you prefer, there were many long threads about this deal and probably if you search the site you will see.
I hope that you do get the deal and that everything works out well.my bark is worse than my bite!!!!!!!!0 -
The downside with osps is they now make you wait a full year to get all the cashback.
This means you have to hope they don't go down the pan before paying up (remember TMR and Mobil-One).
Forward's big advantage is they don't make you wait too long!0 -
yes your right,
and F/C so easy to deal with too.

Well as I said mine has been sent of way within the 45 day period, at least 3 weeks within that time I sent it as soon as I recieved the bill and they have confirmed recieving it but they just dont seem to be bothered to actually send off the cheque and after 3 calls from me and still no joy I'm not impressed at all.
To be honest when I rang they were terrible and to be told its been sent twice and it never has been is just total lack of care. When I asked the girl how long she thought I should give it before ringing again if it didn't arrive she was so rude it was unbelievable, I was quite dumbstruck she sounded like a stroppy teenager saying to me that if she was to tell me that I would come back and call her a liar and went on and on. I couldn't believe it, it was almost laughable the way she said it. I just thought if this is the type of people they employ to deal with customers they obviously don't care too much about them
I think they will always use the excuse that some customers don't stick to the 45 day period and a few probably wont but I'm sure there are many that do and get fobbed off with this reason and that for not getting the cashback. This is the reason people tend to send off thier claims with recorded deliveryThanx
