Merlin139 wrote:About 2 months back I started to think that the names of people who were winning the daily quizes looked firmilier. I wish I had started to keep a list then but I did not start until 11 days ago.
I notice today that the winner of the money quiz today also won the money quiz on Saturday!
I've never noted names down, but there are some "old familiars" that do seem to win time and time again. Lucky !!!!!!s, lol!:rotfl:0 -
OneFlewOver... wrote:This is a discussion board, not just an announcement board. And I'm interested to read the pros and cons of making the most of our points. I don't consider discussion as arguing, and reading (and typing!) don't make me hotter!
I think that must mean that I disagree with EagerLearner - but s/he is perfectly entitled to their opinion, and I'm pleased to read it.
As it happens, I'm in two minds as to whether to open a Betfair account, and it's not quite as easy for me as it is for most, so the simplicity of opening the account, and getting the bonus funds paid into it, is very interesting for me.
I assume, however, that the bonus £25 from wherever cannot be taken out as soon as it's paid in, and that the account-holder must make some sort of bet with at least some of the money involved.
I don't like gambling sites, either, and they make me nervous. [Note to innovate: That may explain something to you] On the other hand, for that very reason, I'm happy to reduce their profits by taking a slice of them for myself!!
I also think that the rake-off PB take from our £10 vouchers, amounting to £1.50, is too steep - not maybe for the purchase of ONE voucher, but I think if you're buying TEN, then their £15 slice is much too much.
I look at the vouchers I get from PB as a bonus, I'd probably be buying the goods anyway and just like the fact that they offer me an incentive to go through their site. If they think that £1.50 is fair, so be it, I'm still ahead.;)0 -

Roz_V wrote:I just tried to sign up for this but can't as they only accept Visa and Mastercard, and I only have a Maestro
Was really wanting to look at my report as well, I wasn't just in it for the points
It says they'll be accepting Maestro soon but the 500pp offer is only for a month and I doubt it'll be done by then
Gutted.
They do accept maestro as that is what my partner has and he ordered me a game through this offer : confused:Lost lbs =

EagerLearner wrote:Okkkkkkk... OneFlewOver - the comment was not against you at all (haven't even read your post) but either way I personally come on here to find out the latest in events/games/who won what/best point earners/ general banter etc and the to-ing and fro-ing over Betfair seems to have become a bit of a monster in terms of page space that's all and you have to sift through it now to get to the 'normal' stuff. I understand everyone wants to gain a clear understanding of what's what though.
EagerLearner
All OneFlewOver is saying, is that a lot of people find the talk of what is best to do with points just as valid as people posting 'oooh i won i won' - i'd say it was more useful to be honest (not that i don't like reading that people have won as it's always nice to see people winning things), because everybody on here is generally on here because they would like to save money/make money and spend their money in the best possible way that they can and this discussion is definitely more informative for that.
Also, what is 'normal' on this thread? I think everything on this thread gives different people different reasons to log on and read, yes primarily it's used for the offers/answers and links but the amount of other useful posts and banter that we are privvy to on this post provides a wealth of information, that i for one am grateful for.
You can't expect one thread on a public forum like this, to only cater for you and your personal wants/needs.
It doesn't take long to sift through posts that are of no interest/use to you either, so maybe just skimming over these posts instead of posting about it is the best way to deal with things (and involves less fuss, and less precious page space too).Lost lbs =
