Well the crossword is the exception to normal quizzes as it changes at midnight so I did it in 7 minutes (although I posted Curly's Quiz at 00.01 as well).

I've been doing the crossword for a long time now and quite alot of the questions are regularly repeated so it's just a case of having a good memory. The quickest I've posted the answers is 4 minutes but that was a one off simple one.

  • Hi, Zoe.

Some concern has been expressed about that site, but I see that they are now offering to pay winnings out in dollars, sterling or euros. However, you have to deposit 10 dollars to start, and the minimum you may withdraw from the account is 20 dollars. Fine if you win ...
I'm not just talking about my wife, I'm talking about my LIFE, and I'm not just talking about MY life, I'm talking about everybody's life. I'm talking about form. I'm talking about content, I'm talking about interrelationships. I'm talking about God, the devil, Heaven, Hell. Do you understand...FINALLY?

Each to their own but I for one will always be getting Betfair vouchers and then withdrawing the money but cheque. I have just opened another building society account to deposit my cheques.
That's fine if you have no scruples about gambling and gambling sites. I do, and I see I'm not alone.

You could still save up the money and buy presents or things for yourself.

Most people that are using MSE should be disciplined enough not to spend it by the fact that they are on MSE and using Pigsback. If you are lucky enough to get 11500 points in a year that would give you £100 in most vouchers but if you exchanged it to betfair and then requested cheques you would have £115 and a small amount of interest if you followed my route.
Your reasoning is correct, but not everyone is able to have full control of their finances like you. I know that there have been times when if I had a windfall like this in cash, the money would have gone on food and shoes for the kids immediately with no prospect of saving it up for presents or treats for myself. But without a windfall, I'd have managed somehow, IYSWIM.
