ebay one sided and unfair to sellers! anyone agree?

i think the worst thign ebay ever did is stop sellers being able to leave a negative or neutral comment!!!

i hate selling on ebay as you will always get one nasty buyer who leavs a negative for no reason or they will do it to get back at you. i sold an item in which the buyer didnt pay up until day 8 of winning item by this time my dog had ripped the item so after day 3 i files a cancel the item thing on ebay which the buyer ignored and then paid up just on day 8 inwhich i had to issue refund as i told buyer the item was broken. so to be spiteful they left me a negative feedback!!! how unfair! even if it had been ok to sell they still didnt pay up and have no contact with me for 8 days and i cant leave a negative or neutral comment about that. its so unfair!

the other day a buyer had a right go at me because there item didnt arrive withing 2 working days of winnign the item even though i state it may take up to 10 working days as i work and cannot get to post office so if you buy from me you must understand im slow at posting because of work commitments (i state that in my actual listing to warn buyers). also we have had this snow and its disrupted everything. the lady told me not to blame the weather but the fact im lazy and deserved a negative feedback rating to bring me down a peg or two, she told me that im also a tight !!! because i send 2nd class recorded which is also stated in my listings! anyone els class this as bullying? i told ebay. once again they were not interested and left my negative feedback up....wanted to cry that day! i really couldnt help the weather!!!!!

also iv tried to sell my van about 5 times and 3 times were people not bothering to get in contact with me and non paying. you then have to wait ages to get your insertion and final fee back and then you cant even leave a negative feedback to warn other people and then the buyer will leave you a negative when you havnt done anything!!!!!

i have another case where i sold a pair of jeans which were size 10 by tag but were deinfately a very small size 10 as they fitted my sister who is size 6-8. so i stated they are size 6-8 on my listing as thats what size they woudl fit as i was size 10 and i coudlnt get it up my one leg! this person bought 5 items from me. because i said the item was size 6-8 and the tag stated 10 they used all 5 items to leave me 5 negative feedbacks. once again very unfair!

i have contacted ebay about these issues and they state that they cannot change feedback left by buyers as its their own opinions and ebay doesant want to get involved with peoples personal opinions!

i also mentioned the fact that us sellers cannot leave a negative for neutral to warn other sellers of non paying buyers. bay told me they will never change this and the best way to warn sellers is to not leave a feedback which wont boost their feedback score. what use is that to warn people that buyers are non payers or just plain nasty!???

us sellers pay ebays wages remember. buyers dont have to pay anything towards ebay fee's as ebay makes money from charging sellers so how come ebay is completely one sided to buyers????

No I don't reading your post most of your problems have been caused by poor listings (the Jeans if the label says size 10 thats what they should be listed as). Poor storage of selling items (the dog ripping the item), Poor understanding of ebay/paypal and the DSR system (if you take longer than 7 days to send an item you loose all seller protection )

I think you need to look at your selling practices then you would get far fewer problems

then what about buyers not paying??? i state my postage terms if you buy from me you agree to my terms if you dont want to wait 10 days which i normally send within 3 but anyway just to over me, if you dont want to wait 10 working days then its easy dont buy from me!. and you forget ok 1 negative for the ones jeans with mistake but to leave negative for all 5 items. thats unfair!

its people liek you that make me really angry with your views cos us sellers cannot win!!! like with those jeans if i had said they were size 10 like on label and you were waiting for these all excited and when you got them they didnt fit cos they are more a size 6-8 you would have left negative feedback because they are more a size 6-8. but because im truthful and stated they are more a 6-8 which is why imsaying they are a 6-8 so they will defuinately fit you. im still wrong! us sellers cant win with people like you!

Thats why you put the jeans measurements on the listing, measure the waist, inside leg, rise etc

Jeans vary in size from store to i can be a 10 in one and a 12 in another thats why its important to list the measurements.

You state what size is on the label and then the measurements and they you could mention that they fit your sister or friend thats an 8 you dont ignore the tag and list them as a 6-8.

Im a seller as well as a buyer and i always list the measurements, even with tops i measure across the chest and under the arm to the hem so that buyers can check the item will fit them. When ive got a top that says a 12 but is quiet a tight fit and more like a 10, i state its a 12 but more like a 10 and then list its measurements, its then for the buyer to make their mind up.

Your feedback sounds awful with all those negs im surprised your still on ebay or even able to sell anything to anyone!

i couldnt have killed the dog as it was in the cubourd too. clever lil !!!!!! now knows how to open cupboards so we have to lock everything. he can also open doors. but what i notice is everyone says im being silly and throwing my toys out of the pram but im being stupid in thinking

after day 3 i canceled listing bcos dog chewed item, you guys seem to ignore the buyer paid on day 8....day 8 of winning item. and then leaves me a negative for canceling item within day 3.... where in that am i actualy the bad person???

if you sell an item its your item until its paid for. you dont sell an item and send it until you receieve payment do you? unless im wrong again and well since the item states it sold on ebay even if buyer hasnt paid its theirs is it? no it isnt until they pay for that item.

once again im being pictured as the bad guy and anything i expressedmy feelings about are all me just being an idiot am i? but these are serious problems in which buyers get away with everything and sellers get shouted at, attacked and always 'throwing their toys out of the pram' about.

why is that?

how does an NPB strike tell other sellers of non paying bidders?

and i did put in my listing the actual tag size but put size 6-8 in search results. so why is everyone still being mean to me?

perhaps you need to go and have a cup of tea (treat yourself to a chocolate biscuit too) and calm down.

Remember that a lot of us on here are also sellers on ebay, so don't think that you are being "victimised" by Ebay Buyers!!

Technically, it's not. As soon as your item ended with a winning bidder you had to be able to supply the item to the winner when they paid.

Also, you say you sometimes take a while to post things. What if the buyer had paid on day 2 after winning, and you couldn't post until day 4-5? The item was still in one piece when they paid, but not by the time you could dispatch.
