It may have been possible that your buyer who paid on day 8 didnt have access to the internet until they went back to work after Christmas. They may not have seen your cancellation requests before they paid.
They may have paid so you couldnt raise a NPB against them & they didnt understand the cancellation process.
They probably left a negative because they are annoyed that you couldnt supply what they had bought. They could have thought that you were planning to re-list the item for a higher price (which does happen alot).
Yes 8 days is a long time to wait for payment, but they are allowed that length of time to pay & it is your responsibility to keep the items safe in the mean time. A pain I know, but one of the things you have to accept when trading on E-bay.
No one is being mean to you, but I think you need to take a step back & put yourself in your buyer's shoes. Would you be happy if you were them?0 -

if the seller chose to cancel their item which is owned by them at their house before i paid. thats fair enough i wouldnt be in a grump as its their item.0 -

You can always follow up on feedback you have received but make the comment to the point otherwise you will look even worse if you rant and rave.
if your selling an item you have the right to be able to list your own terms and conditions whether that be payment must be made within 3 days to i only ship on saturdays. we have the right. ebay doesnt say in their rules... items paid must be sent in 3 days of payment. ebay leave that free for the seller to decide and if your buying something from a seller you should respect what they want. if you dont like their shipping dispatch dates then dont buy from them. its that simple. there is no need to be nasty and leave a negative feedback because you dont agree with a sellers termsn and conditions. that isnt fair at all.0 -

if i didnt have access to the internet and didnt send the item for 8 days without contact i would have a negative feedback. and all you guys would say how i was in the wrong. if you bid on an item and are not able to pay for 8 days whats the harm in one message to say so???
how come its ok for a buyer to not pay and no contact for 8 days but its the worst thing a seller can do and they shouldnt be trading on ebay if i was to not send an item for 8 days and have no contact
as i said 'one sided in favour of buyers'0 -

ebay cant take away your response too by the way if the buyer requests it and ebay agree's0 -

Wrong - not if it contradict ebay/paypal rules - for example i see this on listings all the " i cannot be held responsible for items lost or broken in the post it will be upto the buyer to make a claim against Royal Mail" but that is untrue as Paypal Will refund the buyer if they put in a item not received dispute and it is upto the seller to make a claim regardless if that is part of your terms and conditions listed on the auction.
Ebay states that items should be paid for within 4 days i believe it is now otherwise the seller can open a non paying dispute.
I am not criticising you i am a buyer and a seller (just old kids toys and clothes we have outgrown etc) on eBay and have myself been stung as a seller a couple of times but now i try not to take it personally and follow the rules and take the money i earn from it.
Sorry but your were leaving yourself wide open to it by listing size 10 jeans as a size 6 - 8. You should of stated size 10 but they come up small and maybe more suited to a size 6 - 8 but please check measurements below. Then you should of measured the waist and inside leg typed it into your listing and listed them that way to avoid a negative.Member of Thrifty Gifty ~ Making money for Christmas 2010:£2 Savers club member no 40 ~ £54Amazon Vouchers BingoPort ~ £10Dooyoo Challenge Jan ~ £24.07 / £20.00 Yippee over target :j0 -

ONLY if you call the buyer a name, are aggressive or rant and rave or swear or say anything libelious. If you stick to the point and are accurate and concise about the transaction EBay wont remove your comment.Member of Thrifty Gifty ~ Making money for Christmas 2010:£2 Savers club member no 40 ~ £54Amazon Vouchers BingoPort ~ £10Dooyoo Challenge Jan ~ £24.07 / £20.00 Yippee over target :j0 -
Not if it contradicts ebays rule you cant. If you dont like it sell elsewherebrookiebroo wrote: »if your selling an item you have the right to be able to list your own terms and conditions whether that be payment must be made within 3 days to i only ship on saturdays. we have the right. ebay doesnt say in their rules... items paid must be sent in 3 days of payment.
Why this obsession with wanting to leave negs for buyers. Even when you could it was a pointless exercise. This so called warning for other sellers doesn't stop people sniping in the last seconds of an auction. You wouldn't have time to do anything0 -
If you type the same on ebay as you do on here buyers probably can't be bothered to try and work out what you mean. :rolleyes:brookiebroo wrote: »if your selling an item you have the right to be able to list your own terms and conditions whether that be payment must be made within 3 days to i only ship on saturdays. we have the right. ebay doesnt say in their rules... items paid must be sent in 3 days of payment. ebay leave that free for the seller to decide and if your buying something from a seller you should respect what they want. if you dont like their shipping dispatch dates then dont buy from them. its that simple. there is no need to be nasty and leave a negative feedback because you dont agree with a sellers termsn and conditions. that isnt fair at all.
Yes, that's can't not can.
I know the difference.ebay cant take away your response too by the way if the buyer requests it and ebay agree'sThis is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

eBay and Paypal are not exactly known for their brilliant customer service. If something goes wrong, don't expect them to go out of their way to help you. This is the same in the business world outside of eBay aswell, you're pretty much on your own.0
