i agree with you op non paying bidders should be given negative for non payment
ebay could have a system that when a non paying bidder is closed succesfully negative or neutural feedback is avalaible or a standard automatic feedback appears saying - non paying bidder - so that it warns other sellers or maybe on the feedback page have a note of the number of non paying bidders a buyer has received.0 -

If i had won an item and the seller contacted me to say it was damaged before i had paid, i would have been annoyed but i wouldnt have paid for the item.
Maybe they didnt beleive your story and thought you wanted more for the item.
What did their feedback say exactly?
so i get bad feedback for not sending an item within 3 days but its okay to not pay for an item until day 8....that right in what everyone is saying?
and by the way my feedback score is over 5 years and i have 500 score with 5 negatives where in 2007 from the jeans incident, and since then iv had 3 negatives, 3 neutral so it aint that bad. iv onyl had 1 negative and one neutral for past year so my feedback isnt that bad!
the feedback they left was ' Item finishd 24/12, tried to pay 4th working day after Xmas but had been canx !!'0 -
Ebay gives buyers 8 days to pay, it's in the Ts+Cs. It used to be 14, but they sped up the NPB process to a "report on day 4, close on day 8" system.brookiebroo wrote: »everyone once again ignored the fact the buyer didnt pay until day 8
I do agree that 8 days to pay is unreasonable, but it's not against the rules, so it's a bit unfair to rant about something that's perfectly ebay-legal.Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

i told ebay that. i think that ebay shoudl have a system where if we win a non payment case we should be able to leave a negative or neutral. ebay stopped sellers from leaving negative or neutral because sellers were getting back at buyers. but now the clocks have turned and its happening the other way.
maybe even if they allow sellers to leave a neutral.0 -

i am ranting because i get bad negative feedbacks if i 'were' to post on day 8 but its ok for buyers to pay on day 8. all im saying is it needs to be a bit more equal on fairness side of things.
i back myself up by saying my postage terms for just in case scenario as i said earlier i usualy post within 3-5 days btu if someone requests quick postage i get a familly member to send them for me. i also sate this in listing. if a buyer doesnt object and doesnt contact me to ask for me to send by certain date then i send withing about 3-5 days.0 -
In that case, leave a follow-up comment to their feedback saying something like "Buyer slow to pay, item posted 3 days after payment received".brookiebroo wrote: »i am ranting because i get bad negative feedbacks if i 'were' to post on day 8 but its ok for buyers to pay on day 8.Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

ebay is allowed to remove any feedback which has any slight negative feel to it. i did that and they had it removed.
ebay feedback rules state if leaving a possitive everythign in that possitive needs to be possitive writing. so that would be removed as 'buyer slow to pay' is classed as being negative so they would remove that comment.0 -
I do sympathise in a way. Selling on eBay sometimes can be pot luck, if you end up with a spiteful unreasonable buyer it could ruin your eBay "reputation" and may not have been your own fault. Having said that, it also applies to bad sellers, from a buyers point of view.0

You don't leave it as feedback for the buyer. It shows up on your feedback profile, directly under the comment they left you.brookiebroo wrote: »ebay is allowed to remove any feedback which has any slight negative feel to it. i did that and they had it removed.

I understand your frustrations but if you decide to sell on EBay you have to go by their rules even if you do state your "own terms" it does not mean anything unless they are the same as EBay's selling rules. When you list a item you are agreeing to their rules.
You can always follow up on feedback you have received but make the comment to the point otherwise you will look even worse if you rant and rave.Member of Thrifty Gifty ~ Making money for Christmas 2010:£2 Savers club member no 40 ~ £54Amazon Vouchers BingoPort ~ £10Dooyoo Challenge Jan ~ £24.07 / £20.00 Yippee over target :j0
