Some schools finish on the 26/03 for Easter...we are due to fly BA on the 27/03 on a flight which was booked last September.
We shall see what happens.0 -
Anyone know how we can find out about 'code shared flights'? My husband is flying on 1st April from Birmingham to Los Angeles via Paris with Air France (purchaed with Airmiles & cash) but I've read about different airlines 'sharing metal' (planes). How can we find out the actual carrier for a particular flight?DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024

The booking should tell you 'operated by ....' is the usual phrase.
Alternatively, or should the booking not show it, you could go to the Air France website and and put your dates & departure & destination details into "Book Your Trip" and it will show the relevant flights available. Find your particular one(s) and it will show you who the operator is.There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...0 -

The union can strike up until the 21st March, as they have to take action within 28 days of the strike ballot being announced, which was 22nd Feb. Therefore if you have booked after 21st March you will be fine as they have to give a seven day notice before they strike anyway, and would have to announce the strike date on March 14th, and only be able to do a strike for a couple of hours on the 21st March as the strike is still valid.0 -
We are due to fly out to Miami on 11th March, returning on 26th... Looks like we are going to be affected one way or another... The most frustrating thing is not knowing when it will be - if the flights are cancelled you can deal with it...0

Leaders of British Airways cabin crew continued to hold back from naming strike dates today as talks went on to try to resolve a long-running row over jobs and conditions.
Members of Unite voted massively in favour of industrial action earlier this week, but the union is continuing with negotiations in a bid to avert a walkout.
Union officials today unanimously backed the work of their negotiating team attempting to resolve the current dispute.
Assistant general secretary Len McCluskey said: "Only negotiation, not intimidation or litigation, can keep BA flying."

I'm no expert but I think this is bull.we are due to fly BA on the 27/03 on a flight which was booked last September.

My understanding is that they must start strike action by the 21st March or they must ballot again. However, once they've started they can keep taking more action (again within a certain time period) without re-balloting (is that a word?)0 -
Is it just me, or is Unite completely blind to the fact that by messing about like this, theyre ensuring less people fly BA (who would book with an airline that might cancel?), so less routes will be flown, and there will be a solid case for a good quantity of their members to get made redundant?
Clever move, guys!0
