  • Yay, so i'm having a lovely 'retirement' smashing day at gym yesterday complete with spa sesh after fab :)

Done my 1st 4 hours invigilator training and got another 2hours booked in with 1st exams scheduled for January so thats something to look forward to, I will get my 1st pay day in Feb.

Ramping up the MS's. I have had burgers reinstated on my GAP account and have asked to retake the chicken test cos I didnt get 100% and had been ruled out so fingers crossed I will be accepted this time. Earned £59 last month MSing and have done another today and 3 more booked in for this week so busy busy :)

Not managed any cleaning yet but OH still living in hope :) cgx

  • Hi WH

yes, its been a very busy time so far - i'm loving it!

Ive still not had chicken back on my GAP account but im going great guns with MS's and enjoying doing them too, ive had £92 back this month but some of those are from October jobs :p

Ive won a fab competition for a set of skis! lol! They've been delivered today complete with bindings and are ace :D

I was toying with keeping them even thought they are too advanced for me - I pass for intermediate but tend to stick to blue and reds but now they have arrived they are definitely too big for me (172) and I think I would kill myself on them! so phew, dilemma over! So, if anyone wants to buy some brand new Atomic skis & bindings at half price send me a PM they are: Doubledeck VC82 MTL 08/09 - be warned they are designed for an expert skiier

On the job front I've applied to do the 2011 Census next year - I did it 20 years ago and it is quite hard work but the pay is good, you can earn between £1 - £3k for between 5 - 7 weeks work and the hours are flexible, 15, 25 or 37 hours per week. Closing date is 25/11/10 and they recruit all over the UK so get your applications in early if you fancy it - got to be over 18.

I haven't got into the cleaning/ironing/routine yet - i'm too busy gallavanting or at the gym! but I am trying honest and I had a lovely baking day last week raising cash for the scouts xmas fayre. Oh and shoulder is better too hurrah!

All in all, life is good, hope it stays that way for me and all you fellow DFW's cgx

  • Thanks WH,
Having a great December so far. I sold the ski's £250 - bargain for them and result for me :) Had £40 back from Cineworld from my jumper which got chewing gum on it and have got £60 MSing due this month with another 10 jobs lined up for December!

Plus , Ive heard that I will be getting some back pay from my old job payable on 31 December so all good.

its DS1 16th birthday today, can't believe it - my baby! - all 6 foot of him! so we got him a laptop which tgether with the Quidco cashback i've earned should be paid for by all of the above, which i'm very pleased about - just Xmas to pay for now and i will be sorted!

Ive started to use my redundancy, i've paid the overdraft - saving around £20 pm and settled OH's car loan as we have just taken a new one out and saved £120 in interest by doing so. The rest is still tucked away earning interest :) The first 0% CC wil be paid in January so i'm looking forward to that.

Ive applied for the census and had my phone interview, I should hear before xmas and I start my invigilating in January so all exciting and all good.

Done most of my xmas shopping online, CD, books, dvds & xbox games so just got to get a few stocking fillers then im done!

Hope you are all getting into the xmas spirit - and I dont just mean the Sherry lol! cgx
